3 Steps to Awakening
"This experience of separation and stress, of being a person separate from everything else is something you are doing. You are contracting moment to moment into identifying with thinking, identifying with the body, identifying with the idea of who you think yourself to be and how life is supposed to be. And this contraction blocks you from experiencing your true nature of peace. So then how do you stop this contraction? How do you stop creating this suffering?
Lets put it in 3 parts: The first is practice: spending time every day actively practicing a meditation technique.
The main reason for this is to focus your mind; to focus your attention. With focused attention, awareness begins to grow and you begin to experience life beyond the confines of the intellectual and emotional mind. Second is to immerse yourself in Shakti. Whether it is sitting with an enlightened teacher that radiates Shakti, and/or meditating with the Calling or Infinite Sky CDs, this Shakti will awaken you from the inside out, giving you a direct experience of bliss that is almost impossible to experience on your own. Third is to surrender, to allow your experience in this moment to be exactly as it is without trying to control it, change it or even identify with it. To experience this moment directly, without carrying your past around with you and believing yourself to be that. Let go of the idea of yourself and let your attention rest in the sensations that you feel in this moment instead of perceiving this moment through thinking. If you do these three things you will begin to feel alive in a way you never did before, you will begin to experience your true nature as peace. It is the difference between thinking about bliss and living as bliss itself. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. I have found a way to turn Kundalini Shakti into sound So simply by listening to meditation music you effortlessly awaken to your natural state of unconditional peace, bliss and freedom.

Tape 5
(Continuation)
Now, it's possible that America could be pulled into the same unconsciousness, in which case the label "Muslim" will mean the same. That is the challenge, not to be pulled by reactivity of unconsciousness, into the same unconsciousness. And a lot of it...the whole planet...a lot of how the evolution of consciousness on the planet and the arising of presence on the planet, a lot of that depends on what happens in this country, it just happens because there is such a concentration of energy here.

Waking up to the mystery
Thought cannot really see the beauty and mystery of this life. Take, for example, a walk through the forest. In that walk, you are witnessing total wonder, an alien world that cannot be known through thought. Yet the mind comes to label everything that is seen. It believes that in calling one aspect of it a "tree," it now knows what is there. It believes that those 'things' falling to the ground are "leaves." It believes this whole scene is a "forest." Thought creates a world of totally separate things. The bare naked Oneness of life is overlooked in that labeling.
In the mind-identified state, the moment a thought is placed on something, the looking stops. The mind falsely believes it knows simply because it has a label and category for everything. The world looks entirely conceptual. Childlike curiosity, innocence, and wonder are veiled by the world of the known. Life is reduced to a set of memorized concepts. You aren't looking, listening, feeling and experiencing life directly.
Waking up doesn't mean that you stop thinking. Waking up refers to seeing that our thoughts about reality are not reality. They are interpretations, coming from a mind conditioned by memory. In looking freshly at what is here, in noticing our labels for everything as they arise (instead of totally believing those labels), waking up to the mystery is possible.

Chapter 4
Fact: Consciousness is the Infinite Itself
(Continuation...)
Now, specifically, where is this I as It is saying "I"? The saying of "I" is not taking place by way of a physical mouth or vocal chords, is it? It does not depend on using parts of the physical body, does it?
Notice carefully: is this I the same as anything that is sensed?
You clearly know "I" is being said, yet It is not being heard by way of ears, is It?
Can the eyes see this "invisible I" as It is saying "I"? Can the fingers touch I? No. Nor can you taste or smell I.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion: Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"
The Presence Portal |
| | Michael Brown |
From PART V: 6. After completing the entire Process, aside from our 15 minutes breathing twice a day, are there other circumstances that we respond to by breathing ourselves? (Continuation...)
The Presence Process initiates a way of being in this world enabling us to respond as opposed to react to our life experience, and the daily breathing empowers us to anchor ourselves into this frequency. Moments do occur when the turbulence of living knocks us around with varying degrees of intensity. Sometimes we experience our inner energies build up to a point of feeling overwhelmed, or deeply unconscious. During these experiences it is beneficial to treat ourselves to a dedicated breathing session; to connect our breathing with intent to gain insight and/or resolution into this particular experience.

The Ease Of Being
(Continuation...)
[Some spiritual traditions emphasise the efforts that are required by Consciousness to disidentify itself from the body/mind, but in fact Consciousness disidentifies itself effortlessly many times every day.]
This disidentification takes place quite naturally and effortlessly every time we fall asleep and in the intervals between perceptions. Consciousness also disidentifies itself from the body/mind every time a desire is fulfilled.

Chapter 88
Knowledge by the Mind, is not True Knowledge
(Continuation...)
Q:We settle for pleasure.
M:Each pleasure is wrapped in pain. You soon discover that you cannot have one without the other.
Q:There is the experiencer and there is his experience. What created the link between the two?
M:Nothing created it. It is. The two are one.
Q:I feel there is a catch somewhere, but I do not know where.
M:The catch is in your mind, which insists on seeing duality where there is none.
Q:As I listen to you, my mind is all in the now and I am astonished to find myself without questions.
M:You can know reality only when you are astonished.
