2 Methods of Meditation
"One path of meditation is to firmly fix your attention in this moment. To not let yourself get caught up in thinking but rather to directly experience what is here beyond thinking and to remain in that. Do not try to stop thinking but rather keep your attention fixed on what is here beyond thinking, allowing the thoughts to go as as they arise. You could also simply dip in and out of that. To let your focus rest in what is here beyond thinking for as long as is comfortable and then lose yourself in thinking again. To dip in and out of it is very blissful, but if you want to be really intense about it you can keep your attention in this moment without allowing yourself to get caught up in thinking. This method will be uncomfortable, like trying to make a puppy be still when it wants to run all over the place. But with practice, if you can remain in that, then what first feels uncomfortable, will begin to feel natural. You will burn away all of the tendencies that keep pulling you out of this moment until all that is left is this moment. Another path would be to awaken bliss by focusing your attention on an object of bliss/shakti. Such as silently repeating a mantra or the name of a Guru, Saint or God or even repeating "I am" and focusing on the feeling of being. In doing this, you awaken the Shakti, you awaken the bliss and then you simply meditate on the bliss, letting your mind be focused on the repetition of the name/mantra and letting your attention move deeper and deeper into the bliss. Both methods are valid. If you practice awakening the bliss, then most likely at some point it will lead you to the first path of stillness.
And if you practice stillness, at some point it may turn into devotion. What is most important is that you give yourself fully to practicing it, allowing it to evolve on its own. Eventually both methods will be useless and you will simply fall into what is here. The radiance of this moment will become so strong that there will only be that. Blessings, Kip"

Tape 5 (Continuation...)
[Once the form has dissolved, death is an opening.]
That also applies to the psychological death that is the spiritual transformation. That night I died as a psychological entity, the self, the me, the psychological entity couldn't stand the pain anymore, so it died. It dissolved. And then I woke up and the first thing I noticed, the peace. Such peace. I had no idea that I had died psychologically. I just knew such peace. I don't understand it. That is the redemptive dimension. A form dissolves and it doesn't have to be the physical form, it can be in a spiritual death, the psychological form of me dissolved.

Space as a pointer
The word space is a nice pointer. Look with awareness into your inner body. Let awareness feel the inside of your toes, your calves, your knees, your legs, your groin, your stomach and chest, your arms, your shoulders and your head.
Notice that your inner body and mind is one undivided awake space. Notice that the only thing that makes a distinction between the inside and outside of the body is thought. Thought creates an imaginary, solid boundary between You and life. When thought is looking, there is a boundary. When non-conceptual awareness is looking, it sees no solid boundary. The space in the room or area around the body is the same space as within the body.
As this awake space sees that there is no separation between you and life, Oneness is revealed. This awake space is directly aware of what is, before thought registers or records experience and places it into concepts. Before the thoughts arm, body, me and space arise, there is only the direct, undivided presence. There is only this direct experiencing.
In this direct experiencing, thoughts arise. Emotions arise. These things appear from this space and are therefore not separate from it. Only thought creates a distinction between space and form, between thought and awareness. In seeing that this interplay between space and form is one seamless dance, all there is, is the present play of life - a total mystery.

Chapter 4
Fact: Consciousness is the Infinite Itself
(Continuation...)
Awareness always is infinite only. Notice something else. See if the three dimensions of height, width and depth of this book or the body can ever leave those things and become true of Awareness. Awareness Itself has no dimensions: no height, no width or depth. It is completely un-dimensional.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion: Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"
The Presence Portal |

From PART V: 3. Why is it necessary to continue our breathing practice after Session 10?(Continuation...) This is why getting to the harvest, destination-consciousness, is to be avoided. It is better to embrace this as an ongoing journey, as a daily gardening practice, because much of the experience revolves around consistent cultivation and maintenance. Gardening is about consistency, not surges of sporadic behavior. It is about dancing with the ebb and flow of cycles, not focussing on static endpoints. When we stop attending to our breathing practice the moment we complete Session Ten, in spite of the recommendations to continue, this is proof we entered this experience as a means to an end and are still embracing destination-consciousness; we are still hoping to be fixed and not open to the ongoing transformation of living a conscious life. |

Chapter 87
Keep the Mind Silent And You Shall Discover
(Continuation...)
Q: What can take me beyond the person? How to go beyond consciousness?
M: Words and questions come from the mind and hold you there. To go beyond the mind, you must be silent and quiet. Peace and silence, silence and peace -- this is the way beyond. Stop asking questions.
Q: Once I give up asking questions, what am I to do?
M: What can you do but wait and watch?
