Realizing the Nameless
"Someone sent me a beautiful email recently.
They said they were searching for something that they did not feel really had a name. Everyone is really looking for that same thing. That mystery which is fulfilment. But somewhere along the line most get caught up in defining it.
In calling it enlightenment or kundalini or stillness or no mind. And in naming it, you lose what you were looking for, you create a 'something' on top of what you were seeking in the first place. A something that is impossible to attain because it only exists in your idea of it. And then you get caught up in ideas, in knowledge, in spiritual quotes and inspirations. By trying to figure it out, you get further and further away from what you were seeking in the first place. But if you can just surrender back into not knowing, to observing & feeling this moment instead of interpreting,
then like a black hole that bliss that has no name drinks up all of the words, all of the noise.
It eats it all up until there is nothing left but that which cannot be defined.
And then that bliss is experienced in everything. Just by walking, just by breathing.
Breathing alone can be the most extraordinary experience if there is no mind there to interpret it. But it takes practice, it takes meditation By immersing yourself in shakti and meditation every day, everything becomes clear. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. Tape 5 (Continuation...)
[Facing the fact of death, the fragility of all forms including this physical form and not running away from that fact.]
To the mind, the egoic mind, because ego is identification with form, death is the most dreadful thing that could ever happen because it's the end the form of me. So, it doesn't want to look at it or it will create an explanation to cover it up. But it, really, it's all a way of running away from the fact of death that all forms are unstable.

October 9th
Raw sensitivity and openness
In allowing the body and mind to be absolutely open to the experience of sensitivity in the present moment, the truth reveals itself automatically. Every notion of separation, every fixation, attachment, and identification gets swallowed by that openness. Love just eats the 'self' away. Bit by bit, the you that you take yourself to be is devoured.
Many experience a contraction against that degree of sensitivity. They would rather hang out in or try to recreate some experience, identity, by-product of awakening, fixation or position that this is somehow about awareness, or Oneness, or some other insight that pops up along the way. But This degree of openness cannot be pinned down. It swallows even your insights.
In this raw openness, you see that what you thought or felt to be true in the dream state was just fear, masquerading as a separate self. You see that, even after an awakening experience, little pockets of resistance want to come back to know something. But there is nothing to know. That is what pure love reveals.
When this love burns up every mask you've tried to hide behind, there you are standing naked in a truth that cannot be expressed. It cannot be held onto. This is raw openness, the kind that no fancy Advaita inquiry or pointer can touch. In this openness, there is nothing to find - nothing to add and nothing to subtract. There is only This meeting itself.

Chapter 4
Fact: Consciousness is the Infinite Itself
(Continuation...)
One term perfectly describes every observable thing that the five senses and human mind experience in this way. It's the word finite. "Why all these unusual words?" the thought may come. "First infinite, and now finite. They sound complicated. Why bother with all that?" Don't be put off by either word. They're both rather simple.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion: Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"
The Presence Portal |
| | Michael Brown |
From PART V: 2. (Continuation...) Nobody needs or wants to facilitate another. Those of us who need or want to do this are too attached to the task to be useful to anyone. As soon as we ask, "Am I a good facilitator?" or "Am I a bad facilitator?" we already lose our ability to be effective. Nobody enjoys this job-description and there is no way to gauge the consequences of doing it. This calling goes beyond a requirement for personal satisfaction. Being an authentic facilitator is a horribly beautiful curse carried in one's heart for the love of God.

The Transparency of Things by Rupert Spira by Non-Duality Press Paperback

The Choice Of Freedom
(Continuation...)
[Our experience is one of a stream of appearances in Consciousness. These events are thoughts, feelings, sensations and perceptions, one following another... A, B, C, D, E... Each is utterly unique and each disappears absolutely before the next arises]
Imagine a series of events as follows: Event A is the hearing of rain. Event B is the thinking, "Let's have some tea." Event C is the tasting of tea. Event D is the feeling of satisfaction. Event E is the perceiving of traffic. Event F is the thought that 'I' didn't cause the rain but heard it, that 'I' chose to have tea and enjoyed it, that 'I' perceived the traffic but did not create it, and finally that 'I' remained over after all these experiences had vanished. The 'I' in this stream of events is itself simply another appearance just like all the rest. The 'I' is the thought 'I.'

Chapter 86
The Unknown is the Home of the Real
(Continuation...)
[In the beginning the attempts are irregular, then they recur more often, become regular, then continuous and intense, until all obstacles are conquered.] Q: Obstacles to what?
M: To self-forgetting.
Q: If worship and prayers are ineffectual why do you worship daily, with songs and music, the image of your Guru!
M: Those who want it, do it. I see no purpose in interfering.
Q: But you take part in it.
M: Yes, it appears so. But why be so concerned with me? Give all your attention to the question: 'What is it that makes me conscious?', until your mind becomes the question itself and cannot think of anything else.

 From Above...
(Jordan highlights or comments on quotes from the teachings above.) |
|
Michael Brown: "Being able to learn the art of facilitating ourselves is one of the opportunities offered by our experiential journey through The Presence Process."
Jordan: This is true.
+++++
Nisargadatta: Keep the 'I am' in the focus of awareness, remember that you are, watch yourself ceaselessly and the unconscious will flow into the conscious without any special effort on your part.
Jordan: Gotta be mindful of this one...for the rest of your/my apparent life. I've been doing this, as best I can, for a few years now and I would say I am much less reactive. Of course, I'm getting older which probably also helps.
