Relax Into This Moment
"Relax into this moment. Not your idea of this moment but into feeling what is here beyond thinking. Keep your body still and really feel the sensation of being alive in this moment.
Let go of all ideas of what it might feel like or what you know it feels like and actually experience fresh and new the feeling of being alive in this very moment. Allow thinking to be as it is. There is no pushing anything away, but rather just relax into what is here without interpretation. You can see these two different experiences, the experience of this moment interpreted by your mind and the experience of this moment without interpretation but directly felt, directly experienced free from the mind. If you can really give your attention to feeling what is here beyond the thinking then you will begin to awaken to your natural state of peace, bliss and love.
You will begin to feel the difference between the controlled, separate and stressful experience of the mind, and the natural experience of freedom expressed as being alive in this moment. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. Breitenbush 01 - The Rains Retreat - The Journey Home by Eckhart Tolle |

Tape 5 (Continuation...)
[It applied even more strongly, we had the first retreat a few days afterward, and that we very close to New York City. In New York state. We had a one week retreat with 350 people, just after the events and many people were in turmoil. As the events were still closer then. And even now, many people still are.]
This is a massive event in which we faced death. Now, I don't want to explain it away because if the mind creates explanations, to give you some comforting explanations. That's now what would really help you. Facing death is something that most humans don't want to do. Facing the fragility of all life forms, realizing how fragile all forms are. And sometimes that realization comes when somebody really close to you dies and you suddenly go into shock. It may be a premature death, then the shock is greater as it was with these events. Because it seems that all these people died too soon. But, of course, it happens a lot. Many people die through accidents and illnesses and it seems too soon. Many people who die in old age, they feel it's too soon also. Facing...

Reflections of the One Life: Daily Pointers to Enlightenment by Scott Kiloby by BookSurge Publishing Paperback ~ release Date: 2009-08-10

Awareness is great as a pointer, but lousy as an identity
The word awareness points to an immediate, timeless, formless non-conceptual seeing. All concepts arise in this seeing. You are merely one of those concepts arising in this seeing. Your entire story of self, as detailed and personal as it feels, arises as a set of concepts in awareness.
Although it can be liberating to see that the separate self is a concept and that who you really are is closer to this awareness, there can be a subtle fixation with the notion of awareness even after the initial seeing. The word awareness is great as a pointer, but lousy as an identity or philosophical fixation. If the word awareness is taken as more than a simple pointer, there can be a subtle fixation with passively witnessing. An unconscious belief arises that there is something here called awareness or a witness watching something else called thought or even life. This is still dualistic.
When the word notice is used in these reflections, it is not an invitation to passively witness life. It is a call to love - to the unknown. Spiritual liberation cannot be known through dualistic concepts. Liberation cannot be realized when there is a fixation in some realm of experience. Liberation arises naturally when the dualistic boundaries between self and other, awareness and thought, and form and formlessness are seen to be illusory. You are not the witness of something separate from you called life. You are life itself.

Chapter 4 FACT: CONSCIOUSNESS IS THE INFINITE ITSELF (Continuation...)
Imagine picking up a stick. First, according to the sense of sight, it has a visual form or appearance. The stick has an observable length of so many inches, and a little width or depth. It also has a clearly noticeable beginning and end. Even its color is a form-say brown, instead of blue. If you were to close the eyes while holding the stick, the sense of touch, or tactile feel of holding it in the fingers would be yet another type of noticeable form. That tactile feeling is a form easily distinguished from the tactile sense of a snowball, or a piece of jello.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion: Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"
The Presence Portal |
| | Michael Brown |
From PART V: 2. (Continuation...) Until we realize this we are incarcerated by our own self-made illusions. When we are an addict, it is because we are being the drug. When we are ill, it is because we are being the disease. When we are hungry, it is because we are being the poverty. When we are possessed, it is because we are possessive. A facilitator's responsibility is to show us that when we are a victim to anything or anyone, it is because we are being the abuse. Once we perceive this, once we are prepared to look at the consequences of our own unconscious belief systems and the self-destructive experiences they spurn, we overcome. Then we laugh like little children at our own silliness. But until we reach this point, we turn on anyone who shows this to us, despite asking them to. |

The Choice Of Freedom
(Continuation...)
There is something oppressive about teachings that continuously reiterate the fact that we have no choice or freedom. Such a statement is directed at a non-existent personal entity and, ironically, in doing so, condones the very entity it denies. It is true that the separate entity has no freedom, but as there is no separate entity, why mention it? Consciousness, that which we are, is freedom itself. We, as Consciousness, have absolute freedom. We are absolute freedom.

The Unknown is the Home of the Real

Q: I have understood that all spiritual practice consists in the elimination of the personal self. Such practice demands iron determination and relentless application. Where to find the integrity and energy for such work?
