Relax Into This Moment

"Relax into
this moment.

Not your idea
of this moment
but into feeling
what is here
beyond thinking.

Keep your body still
and really feel
the sensation
of being alive
in this moment.

Let go of all ideas
of what it might feel like
or what you know it feels like
and actually experience
fresh and new
the feeling of being alive
in this very moment.

Allow thinking to be as it is.
There is no pushing anything away,
but rather just relax into
what is here
without interpretation.

You can see these
two different experiences,
the experience of this moment
interpreted by your mind
and the experience of this moment
without interpretation
but directly felt,
directly experienced
free from the mind.

If you can really give
your attention
to feeling what is here
beyond the thinking
then you will begin
to awaken to your natural state
of peace, bliss and love.

You will begin to feel the
difference between
the controlled, separate
and stressful experience
of the mind,
and the natural experience
of freedom
expressed as being
alive in this moment.

Blessings,

Kip"

"How can I stop him from listening to this," says the ego...the egoic mind.  "Let's go off into dreamland, let's take him off into..."

And then you go off and ten minutes later you know the voice is going but you didn't hear a single word because you identified with that.  How can you be...stay present as you sit here?  A good way is to be...as you listen to stay rooted in your inner body.  To sense in the background, so to speak, an aliveness.  Even if you could only sense, while you listen, an aliveness in your hands.  If you only access that but you could easily access the rest of the body and have some attention - Listen from there.

Totally natural and effortless

Liberation is totally natural and effortless.  If life is not being lived naturally and effortlessly, it means that the story of the doer, which could also be called the story of the controller, is there.  The doer believes that success depends upon doing things and controlling outcomes.  It believes it must do something in order to achieve some later result.  This is what makes life appear to be a struggle and a search.

In liberation, it is realized that the doer is a fiction of thought.  The story of self is seen to be an illusion.

The question inevitably arises, "What can I do to realize a liberation that is natural and effortless?"  The very question is a trap.  It arises from the story of self, the doer, who is efforting to do something in order to gain something else.  The story of self is asking how it can get rid of itself.  It is asking how it can control life.  But only that story would ask the question.

Noticing the ways in which the doer believes it can do something to come to liberation allows the doer to be seen as a false entity.  What is left is liberation.  Liberation allows even the story of the doer to arise, knowing that the story is not true.

Chapter 12

FACT: CONSCIOUSNESS

IS WHAT THE PRESENT IS

(Continuation...)

To identify as the Present, have only the Present, and be that Present Itself, as Pure Conscious Being, is to "taste" One's own Eternity.

The next few chapters completely expose the false nature of would-be time and finite experience. They show in yet another way, why the Present is all that is present.

From PART V: 2.

A wonderful example of an authentic facilitator at work is of the personality in Christianity we know as Judas. Judas was Jesus' closest and most trusted companion. Judas knew Jesus' plan to facilitate His disciples and the communities in which He operated into looking into their most terrifying mirror by His allowing Himself to be publicly crucified. The public crucifixion was Jesus' demonstration of entering Life by overcoming the fear of death. If we think a human as aware as Jesus was crucified by accident, or that the event was in any way beyond His will, and that He Himself did not purposely set it up, we completely underestimate Whom and What He is.

Consciousness Is Self-Luminous

(Continuation...)

The Consciousness which perceives the world is one with the Reality of the world.

Consciousness and Reality are one.

An experience consists of the creation of an 'object,' the substance of the 'object' and the knowing of the 'object.' These three are one, simultaneously.

Chapter 86

The Unknown is the Home of the Real

(Continuation...)

Q: As I am here, looking at you, I cannot locate the event in space and time. There is something eternal and universal about the transmission of wisdom that is taking place. Ten thousand years earlier, or later, make no difference -- the event itself is timeless.

M: Man does not change much over the ages. Human problems remain the same and call for the same answers. Your being conscious of what you call transmission of wisdom shows that wisdom has not yet been transmitted. When you have it, you are no longer conscious of it. What is really your own, you are not conscious of. What you are conscious of is neither you nor yours. Yours is the power of perception, not what you perceive. It is a mistake to take the conscious to be the whole of man. Man is the unconscious, conscious and the super-conscious, but you are not the man. Yours is the cinema screen, the light as well as the seeing power, but the picture is not you.

From Above...

(Jordan highlights or comments on quotes from the teachings above.)

Nisargadatta:  "I look, but I do not see in the sense of creating images clothed with judgements. I do not describe nor evaluate. I look, I see you, but neither attitude nor opinion cloud my vision. And when I turn my eyes away, my mind does not allow memory to linger; it is at once free and fresh for the next impression."

Jordan:  Wow...
