Samadhi

"If you can get to
the point in witnessing
in meditation,
where you realize
that everything
is moving by itself,

then you drop
out of any idea
of yourself
and into
formless consciousness.

The experience of separation
is cancelled out
and you rest in your natural state.

It is here
that everything comes right.

It is in this that every
cell of your being gets healed
and transformed back
into its natural state
of vibrating bliss.

It is intoxicating,
all encompassing
and completely gratifying.

From the perspective
of the mind,
happiness is something
you need to acquire.

It is something you
are moving towards
and so you are constantly
looking in front of this moment
to an idea of some future event
where you will feel satisfied.

But this is dissatisfaction itself.
This constant seeking into the
future is unhappiness itself.

Yes, you need to practice
you need to do everything
you can to make yourself
more conscious.

But the path is not linear
but inward.

Through purification,
you bring yourself
further and further
into this moment.

You let go of all control
and drop into what is here,
you immerse yourself in what is here.

Because what is here
is what transforms.

The idea that you as a person
can transform yourself
into something else
is really only scratching
at the surface.

Only superficial changes
get made with the mind.

You fall into this moment
and there is an infinite
ocean of grace.

There is only grace,
only infinite bliss
and this bliss completes you
on every level.

Once you experience this,
all ideas of self help, transformation
get tossed out the window.

You stop being a person
trying to go somewhere
and fall into bliss itself.

Blessings,

Kip"

And when you go beyond the egoic mind, a deeper creativity will arise.   It does not come out of any need, the need for power, the need for increased personal identity.  It comes out of the joy and that is the greatest power.

Nothing is opposed to anything else

Thought divides reality up into me v. you, us v. them, this religion v. that religion, this belief v. that belief, and a host of other divisions that are not real.  These divisions are creatures of thought.  Nothing in reality is opposed to anything else.

In non-dual teachings, one often hears that awareness is your true nature and thoughts appear and disappear in awareness.  This is only a pointer.  It is not the truth.  There is no such thing as a statement of the truth because all statements appear in dualistic language and therefore create the appearance of two.  This creates the false notion that reality can split itself apart from itself.  In this false dualism, it appears that something is opposed to or separate from something else.  Even the notions of true v. false are created entirely by thought.

Nothing is opposed to anything else.  There is no real division between awareness and thought.  When there is a belief in this division, there is often the corresponding belief that one must stay in awareness and deny thought, as if thought is opposed to awareness.  In reality, thought is not independent of awareness.  In buying completely into the mental division between thought and awareness, it appears that there are two here.  This creates the sense of "I got it" when pure awareness is being experienced and the sense of "I lost it" when thought is arising.  This is a trap.

Chapter 12

FACT: CONSCIOUSNESS

IS WHAT THE PRESENT IS

(Continuation...)

Only to human thinking based on the senses would it seem unusual that the Present is timeless, yet alive. Such thinking attempts to impose its unreal standards, which function in time's non-presence, upon Conscious Presence, Life Itself. Such thinking ignores what truly is, thus it is ignorant. It would say Life, too, should move and change in passing time, what-isn't-present, in order to be alive.

From PART V: 2.

(Continuation...)

Once their services are requested, an authentic facilitator accepts that by agreeing to play this role for us the outcome moves in one of two directions:

  • The second outcome is: We take a brief glance at the illusion the facilitator mirrors, feel the surfacing fear, anger, and grief, and run in absolute terror back into the environment in which we can hide ourselves from ourselves and from everyone else. This second outcome is most likely to occur when we are not yet authentic about seeking to overcome our predicament. Just as there are few authentic facilitators on the planet at any given time, so are there few of us who sincerely choose to perceive the truth about our circumstances when we ask to be shown.

Consciousness Is Self-Luminous

(Continuation...)

The metaphor of the mirror is helpful in that it enables us to understand that Consciousness cannot be experienced as an object.

However, unlike the mirror, Consciousness is conscious. It perceives. It experiences itself all the time, whether or not thoughts, sensations or perceptions are present.
