How to Deal With Upheaval

"First, realize
that someone or something
is not making you feel this way.

You are feeling this way
out of a reaction
to what is happening.
Blaming only keeps
you unconscious.

Second,
be honest and
accept what you feel,
this is most important.

Don't try and create
"positive emotions."
This is just the ego
trying to impose something
it thinks should be here
on top of what is really here.

You have to really
allow yourself to feel
what is honestly here and accept it.

Perhaps at first what you feel
will go and you will find
a whole new set of thoughts
and feelings underneath it.

Such as if you feel angry
at someone for treating
you a certain way,

after allowing that anger
you may realize that
the anger was there
because you did not want
to accept the feelings
of rejection
and loneliness
that were really there.

So allow yourself to feel that,
without trying to change it,
get rid of it, figure it out,
understand it, even own it.

Just allow yourself to feel
what is here as sensation.

Accept that this is
what simply is
in this moment.

There is no doing involved
it is simply what is here.

If you do this,
you will instantly feel peace.
The moment you accept
and allow yourself to experience
even the first emotion,
there is peace.

And as you allow,
and feel what is here,
ultimately what you will find
that is here is sensation,
the sensation of energy moving,
and that is bliss,
that is love.

So you see
what you are really doing
through surrender and feeling
is moving beyond the mind,
moving beyond
the thinking and the emotions
to what is really here,
to what is here before
the mind labels it and judges it.

You will feel humbled
by what is here,
you will feel completely
vulnerable to what is here,

but in this way,
you awaken to peace,
you awaken to love;
not as something
that you try to do,
but you awaken to
what is always already here.

Then you will experience
everything as the same bliss.
You will feel the bliss in resentment,
the bliss in rejection,
the bliss in loneliness,
the bliss in happiness.
It is all the same bliss.

It is all the same flow
of energy.

It is simply a matter of
truly allowing yourself
to feel what is here
without trying to change it
in any way.

Blessings,

Kip"

[So, it's important for many people, it has been - it hasn't been one sudden - even great teachers - there were great teachers for which there has not been one sudden shift after which everything...it was a gradual - sometimes fairly fast.]

For most people now it will be a gradual  shift.  Not fireworks, necessarilym after which everything's changed.  A gradual shift - for most of you - from mind identified state into presence.  Whether some phenomena is associated with it is irrelevant because the come and go.  Even people who have had fireworks, they don't have fireworks continuously.  They might say, I had fireworks 30 years ago, afterward nothing was ever the same and what really matters is what is the inner state now.  What has your inner state been for the last thirty years, after the fireworks. So, don't expect an event, it's not like that.

Reflections of the One Life: Daily Pointers to Enlightenment

The felt sense of being

Most people live their lives through thought.  They take themselves to be that thought stream.  When "enlightenment" is mentioned, the natural tendency is to search for it through presently arising thoughts about future attainment or to attempt to grasp it intellectually.  Both avenues will fail miserably.  Enlightenment is not found in thought. Enlightenment is just a fancy word for the realization of a felt sense of being.  This permanent being is who you really are, beyond any temporary thought that arises and falls.

Do not get stuck in words like "being."  As with any word, being is just another idea in the thought stream.  Although the word being is an idea, it is pointing to a felt sense of aliveness within the body and mind.  Being is so simple it is often overlooked by a mind searching for a future state or for conceptual understanding.  The clearest conceptual understanding about being is not being.  Being is not for the intellect to grasp.  It is what you are before the attempt to search for it or grasp it intellectually arises.

Using the words "felt-sense" may lead the mind to believe that being is like an emotion.  It is not.  Emotions come and go within being.  Being is the unmoving, unchanging, timeless ëfelt' sense of being alive within the body and mind.  It is that simple.  Making enlightenment more complicated than that is just more searching and more intellectual grasping.

Chapter 12

FACT: CONSCIOUSNESS

IS WHAT THE PRESENT IS

(Continuation...)

The irresistibility of Now is My Life Story. It is simple, right to the point, and never can pass away.

What if one were to mistakenly identify with what the five senses seem to sense, instead of as Pure Consciousness, as the Present Itself?

Absolutely everything a sensing human "mind" would claim to know about itself and its world seems to depend on the passing of time. It experiences every one of its sensations, every thought and emotion, in the passing of never-present time. It wakes up in time; it eats, works, plays, sleeps and dies in time. Never-present time is the very fabric of the mortal or human sensing "mind's" experience.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion:  Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"

The Presence Portal

From PART V: 2.

(Continuation...)

But this too is only part of it. A facilitator, when carrying out their task, does not consciously decide what role to play to perform the service of becoming a mirror of the plight of whomever they are facilitating; they allow themselves to be possessed by that individual's shadow as instructed by their own Inner Presence. To enter such a field of play is not something we can study for and be taught to do by another. It is a path of service that we walk upon because it is where our feet are placed by God. To be able to perform this task we must first learn to be this for ourselves. Until we thoroughly identify, see through, face, and overcome our own possessive plights, we do not contain the physical, mental, or emotional capacity to facilitate another. We are not energetically qualified.

Peace And Happiness Are Inherent In Consciousness

(Continuation...)

The fact that Happiness is sought in such a wide variety of objects and activities indicates the intuition that Happiness resides in the knowing and experiencing aspects of an experience or an object, in the Consciousness aspect, not in the objective aspect, because the knowing or experiencing aspect of all experiences is always the same.

However, the knowing and experiencing aspect of experience is veiled by the name and the form of the experience, and therefore we keep looking for Happiness in new and different objects.
