Freedom From Suffering

"Once the Shakti is
really awakened in you
and your attention
remains either
immersed in the Shakti,
in witnessing,
or in the feeling
of "I am,"

then everything will
come up for you.

Once you have let go
of all of the ways
and distractions
you have used
to escape this moment
and are fully committed
to being here,

then all of the
insanity will come out.

But if you allow it all to arise
without holding on to it,
without trying to get rid of it
dramatize it,
or identify with it,

then it automatically
burns away in shakti,
it burns away in consciousness.

It simply becomes a flow of energy;
the way the wind blows
through the trees.

The problems come in because
we place importance on what arises.

We grab hold of what arises
and then think we need
to do something about it,
we need to analyze it,
act it out,
heal it.

We grab hold of it
and at the same time
want to get rid of it
and thus the conflict begins.

Then it becomes an issue.
It becomes something real
something that haunts you,
that weighs you down.

So you can see with this
how the mind works.

A thought or emotion arises
and you grab hold of it,
make it important
and the drama begins.

You are suffering
because you carry your suffering
around with you.

But in any moment
you can let go of it
and that will be that.

There is no deep rooted
psychological cleansing
that needs to happen.

Consciousness itself
consumes what is here
and purifies it,
returns it
to its natural state of peace.

It does require you
to be present enough
to observe what is arising
out of this moment

and willing enough to let go of it,
willing enough to remain unattached
to whatever arises.

And in this
everything passes
in a flow of energy

and the clarity of consciousness
underneath it begins to expand
and radiate on its own accord.

Blessings,

Kip"

Emotional Brain Training - This is something new to me that I think looks pretty good.  Seems like this fits in nicely with EMDR and mindfulness (nondual wisdom) and is definitely worth exploring.   I invite you to take a look at it.  If you have experience with this, I'd be interested.  The link to the site is ebt.org , Jordan

And then you shift from that when you go into the inner...when you sense the inner energy field of body.  You already go beyond form identity because form identity is also really an image, you have an image of 'me' - this physical vehicle.  You see it in the mirror or you look at it from up here, and see parts of it.

Reflections of the One Life: Daily Pointers to Enlightenment

Thought is similar to a sense

You experience the present reality of life through the sense of smell.  Yet it would be ridiculous to suggest that you should close off all other senses and only smell the present reality.

You experience the present reality of life through the sense of sight.  Yet it would be silly to suggest that you should close off all other senses in favor of sight only.

You experience life through taste and touch.  Yet it would make little sense to choose taste or touch as a way to experience the present reality to the exclusion of all other senses.

Experiencing the present reality of life through only one sense is a partial view of reality.

Thought is similar to a sense.  When thought is taken to be reality rather than just another way of experiencing the present reality, the being dream of a separate self arises.  You totally believe the whole story of thought, including its interpretations, beliefs, ideas, religions, philosophies, judgments, opinions, and personal motivations.  The exclusive experiencing of life through only the 'sense' of thought presents a partial view of reality.

There is something here, call it awareness, that is aware of thoughts as temporary appearances in reality.  This awareness knows that thought is a limited, partial view of life.  In seeing thought as similar to a sense, there can be a waking up out of the exclusive, partial viewing of life through thought.

Chapter 12

FACT: CONSCIOUSNESS

IS WHAT THE PRESENT IS

(Continuation...)

[Where the Present is all-present (and It is absolutely all the Presence there is), there simply cannot be an absence of the Present.]

That period when the Present is not present is what time would pretend to be. But that never happens.

The Present always is present.

From PART V: 2.

As we elevate our life experience into one in which we are an example of a self-facilitator in action, and adopt this as our way of being in this world, we are already playing this role for others. It is unnecessary to put a sign on the door, place an advert in a publication, or be listed in any healing directory to fulfill our purpose. It is unnecessary to tell another soul.

Peace And Happiness Are Inherent In Consciousness

(Continuation...)

[Consciousness is the witness and substance of every objective experience, and when no object is present, such as in the interval between perceptions, Consciousness remains as it always is, knowing itself. This objectless Self-knowing is the substance of these intervals.]

So experience does not stop when the object vanishes, only the objective aspect of experience, the name and form, ceases. Experience itself, experiencing itself, continues.

Chapter 85

'I am': The Foundation of all Experience

(Continuation...)

Q: Nothing more is needed, of course. But you are talking of the knowable.

M: Of the unknowable only silence talks. The mind can talk only of what it knows. If you diligently investigate the knowable, it dissolves and only the unknowable remains. But with the first flicker of imagination and interest the unknowable is obscured and the known comes to the forefront. The known, the changeable, is what you live with -- the unchangeable is of no use to you. It is only when you are satiated with the changeable and long for the unchangeable, that you are ready for the turning round and stepping into what can be described, when seen from the level of the mind, as emptiness and darkness. For the mind craves for content and variety, while reality is, to the mind, contentless and invariable.
