Freedom From Suffering
"Once the Shakti is really awakened in you and your attention remains either immersed in the Shakti, in witnessing, or in the feeling of "I am," then everything will come up for you.
Once you have let go of all of the ways and distractions you have used to escape this moment and are fully committed to being here, then all of the insanity will come out. But if you allow it all to arise without holding on to it, without trying to get rid of it dramatize it, or identify with it, then it automatically burns away in shakti, it burns away in consciousness. It simply becomes a flow of energy; the way the wind blows through the trees. The problems come in because we place importance on what arises. We grab hold of what arises and then think we need to do something about it, we need to analyze it, act it out, heal it.
We grab hold of it and at the same time want to get rid of it and thus the conflict begins. Then it becomes an issue. It becomes something real something that haunts you, that weighs you down. So you can see with this how the mind works. A thought or emotion arises and you grab hold of it, make it important and the drama begins. You are suffering because you carry your suffering around with you. But in any moment you can let go of it and that will be that. There is no deep rooted psychological cleansing that needs to happen. Consciousness itself consumes what is here and purifies it, returns it to its natural state of peace. It does require you to be present enough to observe what is arising out of this moment and willing enough to let go of it, willing enough to remain unattached to whatever arises.
And in this everything passes in a flow of energy and the clarity of consciousness underneath it begins to expand and radiate on its own accord. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. The Projected Self - Nondual perspective on emotional regulation, conscious relationships and making effective change.
Emotional Brain Training - This is something new to me that I think looks pretty good. Seems like this fits in nicely with EMDR and mindfulness (nondual wisdom) and is definitely worth exploring. I invite you to take a look at it. If you have experience with this, I'd be interested. The link to the site is ebt.org , Jordan

So, there are two levels of disidentification, one is from the form identity of the psychological and the other is the form identify is 'me' as the physical body. Most people are trapped in these two levels of form identity.

One present play
Life is one present play of appearances: sights, sounds, smells, thoughts, feelings, experiences, states, and other things. Mentally labeling these as separate things solidifies the false assumption that there actually are separate things happening at different times and in different places.
See that there are not two here. There is only one present play of life. To the mind, there is a "you," sitting in a chair, listening to a bird chirping outside. With that seemingly harmless interpretation, the mind has created a false appearance of separate things happening in different places. It has divided this one present play into parts: a separate "you," a chair, listening, a bird, chirping, and outside. This is what the mind does. It filters the present experience dualistically. This reflection is not about getting rid of the mind. It is pointing to simple, clear, empty non-dual awareness prior to the mind's dualistic interpretation of the present experience.
The separate "you" is an idea happening in awareness. The notion that there is a chair is also an idea. The notion that there is something here called listening that is separate from what is being heard is also an idea. The notion that there is a bird "outside" is an idea. Ideas are not aware. Only awareness is aware. In looking only with present, spacious, non-conceptual awareness, what seemed to be separate things happening in different places is seen to be one present play. Just 'This.'

Chapter 12
FACT: CONSCIOUSNESS
IS WHAT THE PRESENT IS
(Continuation...)
When was the last time you noticed the Present was not present? Of course it sounds ridiculous because it simply doesn't occur.
Where the Present is all-present (and It is absolutely all the Presence there is), there simply cannot be an absence of the Present.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion: Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"
The Presence Portal |
| | Michael Brown |
From PART V: 2. (Continuation...)
To assist us to take another step in this direction, towards trusting ourselves implicitly to take care of ourselves, let us use the question (training facilitators) that initiated this discussion to dive deeper into the resonance of facilitation. Let us accomplish this by seeking to understand the function an authentic facilitator performs in a world imprisoned in a time-based paradigm. Through integrating this we are better able to facilitate ourselves beyond this perceptual confinement.

Peace And Happiness Are Inherent In Consciousness
(Continuation...)
[There is no objective experience and yet Consciousness is present 'there' experiencing itself.] Consciousness is the witness and substance of every objective experience, and when no object is present, such as in the interval between perceptions, Consciousness remains as it always is, knowing itself. This objectless Self-knowing is the substance of these intervals.

Chapter 85
'I am': The Foundation of all Experience
(Continuation...)
Q: Why should the unknown interest me? Of what use is the unknown?
M: Of no use whatsoever. But it is worthwhile to know what keeps you within the narrow confines of the known. It is the full and correct knowledge of the known that takes you to the unknown. You cannot think of it in terms of uses and advantages; to be quite detached, beyond the reach of all self-concern, all selfish consideration, is an inescapable condition of liberation. You may call it death; to me it is living at its most meaningful and intense, for I am one with life in its totality and fullness -- intensity, meaningfulness, harmony; what more do you want?

 From Above...
(Jordan highlights or comments on quotes from the teachings above.) |
Michael Brown: "Let us accomplish this by seeking to understand the function an authentic facilitator performs in a world imprisoned in a time-based paradigm. Through integrating this we are better able to facilitate ourselves beyond this perceptual confinement."
Jordan: One thing Michael says about forming groups is that we are already in our groups, the people who show up in our lives are our group members. That's great!
The way I facilitate The Presence Process, BTW, is telling people to buy the book. That's about it.
I just realized I learned that from my father, who after I told him I wanted to learn Morris code - so I could get involved in something he was interested in - handed me a Morris code book and a little key thing that made beeps. He never followed up to see how I was doing, and I never learned it, so there you go.
I did learn the second semester of "Physics with Calculus" out of the book during a summer semester at Western Wash Univ. Hardest class I ever took and got an 'A'.
Probably the biggest thing I learned in college was that if the prof was good or bad wasn't the issue, if you could learn it out of the book, it didn't matter. ++++ |
