Freedom From Suffering
"Once the Shakti is really awakened in you and your attention remains either immersed in the Shakti, in witnessing, or in the feeling of "I am," then everything will come up for you.
Once you have let go of all of the ways and distractions you have used to escape this moment and are fully committed to being here, then all of the insanity will come out. But if you allow it all to arise without holding on to it, without trying to get rid of it dramatize it, or identify with it, then it automatically burns away in shakti, it burns away in consciousness. It simply becomes a flow of energy; the way the wind blows through the trees. The problems come in because we place importance on what arises. We grab hold of what arises and then think we need to do something about it, we need to analyze it, act it out, heal it.
We grab hold of it and at the same time want to get rid of it and thus the conflict begins. Then it becomes an issue. It becomes something real something that haunts you, that weighs you down. So you can see with this how the mind works. A thought or emotion arises and you grab hold of it, make it important and the drama begins. You are suffering because you carry your suffering around with you. But in any moment you can let go of it and that will be that. There is no deep rooted psychological cleansing that needs to happen. Consciousness itself consumes what is here and purifies it, returns it to its natural state of peace. It does require you to be present enough to observe what is arising out of this moment and willing enough to let go of it, willing enough to remain unattached to whatever arises.
And in this everything passes in a flow of energy and the clarity of consciousness underneath it begins to expand and radiate on its own accord. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. The Projected Self - Nondual perspective on emotional regulation, conscious relationships and making effective change.
Emotional Brain Training - This is something new to me that I think looks pretty good. Seems like this fits in nicely with EMDR and mindfulness (nondual wisdom) and is definitely worth exploring. I invite you to take a look at it. If you have experience with this, I'd be interested. Jordan

And you step out of both those form identities. Realizing that, again there's nothing really personal - there's no 'me' about...it is the human body. Any body is basically the same body. The human is here and there is no identification in that, either.

The dream of choice
The seeker asks, "Should I engage in spiritual practices to bring about enlightenment?" The teacher responds, "Who is going to do that?" This can frustrate the seeker unless it is realized what is really being said.
The dream of self is a dream of time. There is a belief in a separate person with a past and a future who can choose to take action now to bring about some later event. Within the spiritual search, choice is based in personal motivation: "What can I do now to achieve something later?" The dream self falsely believes it is in control. It's all about the me and what it can get.
Enlightenment is the realization of no self, which is a realization of timelessness. When time is seen to be nothing more than a mental stream of thoughts called past and future arising now, the me is seen to be a temporary thought form arising from that formless, timeless awareness. Choice is seen to be a dream of time, meaning an aspect of the dream of self.
Should you engage in spiritual practices? In seeing that all spiritual practicing emanates from a central illusion of time and control, the possibility for liberation from that dream arises. Engaging in spiritual practices in the blind pursuit to bring about some later event called enlightenment just strengthens the dream of time and control. It strengthens the dream of self.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion: Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"
The Presence Portal |
| | Michael Brown |
From PART V: 2. (Continuation...)
Now, as we move deeper and deeper into the flow of BEING OUR COMPANION, as we approach the procedures for activating emotional body awareness, we are invited to widen our horizons about what we think the nature of self-facilitation is about. As we do, let us not become vulnerable to being led astray again by putting our energy into seeking out an outer facilitator to help us, or boost our ego by assuming we contain what is required to facilitate others. Let us first learn everything we can about facilitating ourselves. This is the authentic place to take up our journey.

Peace And Happiness Are Inherent In Consciousness
(Continuation...)
No memory of this interval appears in Consciousness, because there was nothing present there apart from the transparent objectless presence of Consciousness itself.] In that sense these intervals are non-experiences. However, it would be incorrect to say that there was no experience during these moments. There is no objective experience and yet Consciousness is present 'there' experiencing itself.

Chapter 85
'I am': The Foundation of all Experience
(Continuation...)
Q: The 'I am' is the foundation of all experience. What you are trying to describe must also be an experience, limited and transitory. You speak of yourself as immutable. I hear the sound of the word, I remember its dictionary meaning, but the experience of being immutable I do not have. How can I break through the barrier and know personally, intimately, what it means to be immutable?
M: The word itself is the bridge. Remember it, think of it, explore it, go round it, look at it from all directions, dive into it with earnest perseverance: endure all delays and disappointments till suddenly the mind turns round, away from the word, towards the reality beyond the word.
It is like trying to find a person knowing his name only.
A day comes when your enquiries bring you to him and the name becomes reality.
Words are valuable, for between the word and its meaning there is a link and if one investigates the word assiduously, one crosses beyond the concept into the experience at the root of it.
As a matter of fact, such repeated attempts to go beyond the words is called meditation.
Sadhana is but a persistent attempt to cross over from the verbal to the non-verbal.
The task seems hopeless until suddenly all becomes clear and simple and so wonderfully easy.
But, as long as you are interested in your present way of living, you will shirk from the final leap into the unknown.
