Going Beyond Content
"In meditation we are simply noticing that everything is. It is not the 'everything' that is important, it is the is-ness itself that is the key.
The mind is always caught up in the content.
But awareness only experiences the essence. Whether there is anger or a thought of a chocolate brownie or a heavy rain outside.
All of these things are of the same energy.
They exist out of life itself, the one energy that is animating everything. And even in saying this the mind is agreeing or disagreeing. The mind is relating to the words as content. It is trying to comprehend something that cannot really be put in words in the first place. All the words can really do is point and it is up to you whether you give your attention to where the words are pointing or you get caught up in the content of the words.
And if you give your attention to where the words are pointing, then you move beyond words; you move beyond content and rest in that which cannot really be described. So there is this shift that needs to happen, to move beyond trying to experience things with the intellect or emotion to experiencing what is here beyond intellect and emotion. To realizing the is-ness of everything. It is not that thinking has to stop, it is that you stop being transfixed by the content of the thinking and realize that which is always animating the content, that which is making the content possible in the first place. The conscious ever flowing energy that is bliss itself. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. [Don't take anything too literally, they're just pointers. (audience laughter, and Eckhart laughs)]
That's a beautiful thing. You're free already, let this process happen. If it takes 10 years then so be it. Who cares? But you are free of believing it to be yourself. You have depersonalized the human pain because you've realized that anger...is not...there's nothing personal in anger. There's nothing personal in sadness. There's nothing personal in energy...in any emotional movement - it is human emotion. Why make a 'me' out of that? A heavy sense of self.

Reflections of the One Life: Daily Pointers to Enlightenment by Scott Kiloby by BookSurge Publishing Paperback ~ release Date: 2009-08-10

August 6th Are you in control? Take a look and notice that you cannot know what thought is going to come about until that thought arises. It arises naturally, spontaneously, and involuntarily out of nowhere. "You" did not bring it about. "You" did not even know what was coming until it came. Do you know what action is going to arise before it arises? Perhaps a thought tells you that you should wipe the kitchen counter. It appears you made a decision and are simply following through with your decision. But didn't that decision arise spontaneously out of nowhere? Did you know that decision was going to arise before it arose? You believe you are in control. In presence, it is revealed that life is just happening spontaneously. The "you" that you take yourself to be is also just a story arising spontaneously out of nowhere. There is no "you" to choose what is arising. Watch people when sitting in a room together. Legs are moving. Arms are moving. Heads are turning. But if you ask people whether they are doing those subtle little bodily movements, they will likely not realize those movements were even happening. If there is no "you" controlling the thoughts and actions that arise or making choices, what does that mean for all your grand plans for the future? See that this reflection is pointing towards a total surrender to what is in this moment.

FACT: THERE IS NOTHING GREATER THAN CONSCIOUSNESS
RIGHT NOW, YOU ARE CONSCIOUS.
(Continuation...)
There is nothing wrong with questioning; it is strongly encouraged. And never just accept statements because they sound authoritative- including those of this author. But to behold what these pages say, to discern the magnificence and permanence of what you are, you must make a clear distinction between pure Awareness Itself, and the thinking you seem to be aware of. Thinking is not Awareness. If you won't make this distinction and stick to it, put the book down now. Otherwise you will be frustrated and are wasting your time.
Don't fall for any superstitious nonsense that this material is too deep, just because some words are capitalized. How much heavy intellectualizing is needed before Awareness is freely aware here, now? None-that's the point! If you're aware enough to simply know you are, you've got all It takes. It is sufficient for Consciousness to be aware only, not intellectual.

Excerpts From "Being Our Companion: Exploring Self-Facilitation Through The Presence Process"
The Presence Portal |

PART V: QUESTIONS ASKED AFTER COMPLETING THE PRESENCE PROCESS2. THE PRESENCE PROCESS states there is no intention to train facilitators in this procedure, why is this? Numerous sub-intents are interwoven into the primary intent of The Presence Process. One of these is to initiate a shift within our perception that transforms our behavior from getting to giving; to learn how to give ourselves what we have been attempting to get from the world.

Peace And Happiness Are Inherent In Consciousness
(Continuation...)
Consciousness itself takes the shape of every appearance although it is itself shapeless, just as water takes the shape of a wave, although it is itself shapeless.
This Consciousness that is present during the appearance of the subtle object we call a thought, is exactly the same Consciousness that is present during the appearance of the subtle object we call the dream.

Chapter 84
Your Goal Is Your Guru
(Continuation...)
Q: I do not grasp you fully. On one hand you say a Guru is needed; on the other-the Guru can only give advise, but the effort is mine. Please state clearly-can one realize the Self without the Guru, or is the finding of a true Guru essential?
M: More essential is finding the true disciple. Believe me, a true disciple is very rare, for in no time he goes beyond the need for a Guru, by finding his own self. Don't waste your time on trying to make out whether the advice you get flows from knowledge only, or from valid experience? Just follow it faithfully. Life will bring you another Guru, if another one is needed. Or deprive you of all outer guidance and leave you to your own lights. It is very important to understand that it is the teaching that matters, not the person of the Guru. You get a letter that makes you laugh or cry. It is not the postman who does it. The Guru only tells you the good news about your real Self and shows you the way back to it. In a way the Guru is its messenger. There will be many messengers, but the message is one: be what you are. Or, you can put it differently: until you realize yourself, you cannot know who is real Guru. When you realize, you find that all the Gurus you had have contributed to your awakening. Your realization is the proof that your Guru was real. Therefore, take him as he is, do what he tells you, with earnestness and zeal and trust your heart to warn you if anything goes wrong. If doubt sets in, don't fight it. Cling to what is doubtless and leave the doubtful alone.
