Advanced Self-Inquiry
"In meditation, one of the greatest things you can do is become aware of how thought identification happens. Become aware of the process of thoughts arising and the action of being attached to identifying with those thoughts.
There is a feeling of contraction behind it, a feeling of stress.
A feeling of constantly holding on to something that is flying all over the place. And if you can recognize that attachment then you can begin to let go of it. You can begin to rest in non attachment where thoughts are never even given the power to fully become a thought. You will find if you remain un-identified to thinking,
the power that makes thinking happen dissipates and thoughts can slow down and even stop altogether.
And then what is left is impersonal radiance, a power that expands and consumes everything that may arise back into itself like a blazing fire of consciousness. So you see it is not what you know, how you act, or even what your experience is that is important.
We are looking behind all of that.
We are looking at the first action of identification that turns the whole thing into a personal you with a personal mind and a personal story. We are breaking that attachment to creating that identification and recognizing what is left.
Remaining in what is left.
It may not be blissful or peaceful or loving. You can't look to get something out of it. You are stopping the creation of what is looking for bliss in the first place to remain in what is undeniably here underneath it all. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. So, make sure the seeing doesn't become a renewed labeling by the mind. Leave it on the level of seeing. Ohhh. Otherwise, you personalize again and then you have another...a 'me' problem. (Chuckles) And then it happens that in the middle of pain-body, using your mind, and perhaps using other people - you may already be in the middle of drama - you can suddenly see it. It may not stop immediately, but you can see the energy of it.

July 25th More on dualistic thought and non-dual teachings Although all thought is dualistic by nature, to deny thought is to deny the very expression of 'This.' Some non-duality or enlightenment teachings point very directly, leaving no room for the seeker to believe that he or she needs more time in order to be free or that there is even a seeker who could do anything to reach enlightenment. Other teachings provide the seeker with methods and practices for recognizing presence. The method may be to watch thoughts and emotions, question thoughts, practice inner body awareness, or follow the "I" thought back to its source until it is realized that there is only emptiness within. Each of these expressions is pointing to the same Oneness, enlightenment, non-duality, liberation, nirvana, or whatever you like to call it. Yet none of these expressions are the truth. The truth to which all these words point cannot be expressed through dualistic thought. Keep it simple. Use whatever works. Comparing one teacher or teaching to another is just more seeking energy. When you take a position for or against a teaching, notice that there is always an opposite position. In seeing that opposite positions are dualistic and arise together, you are recognizing your own non-dual nature. It is then realized that thought is not a problem. Although words fail, This loves to express itself in a multitude of ways.

FACT: THERE IS NOTHING GREATER THAN CONSCIOUSNESS
RIGHT NOW, YOU ARE CONSCIOUS.
(Continuation...)
Inside, you also will find simple explanations of some of the toughest, age-old, and "unanswered" questions ever faced by philosophers and scientists. They concern the Infinite, the Divine-and the nature of the so-called material world, time, and creation. There are even the answers to those two deep, profound issues that keep everyone awake at night: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" and, "If a tree falls in the forest...." Seriously, even these are answered in an easy new way because by looking out from pure Consciousness, the Infinite, one is "outside the box" of a finite human intellect.
By this point you should be asking, "How do I know all this is true?"
"This may be well and good if I accept the premise that Consciousness is all-but how do I know that's true? Just who is the author to be making all these statements? And who is to say this necessarily is Truth, instead of what other books or teachings say?"
In other words, you want to be certain that what is said here is really the way it is.

(Continuation...) No matter what happens, it is important to remember we are not a drug addict; we are a beautiful soul projecting itself into this lifetime to experience addiction because there is a great lesson here for us. We must intend to learn it, to keep taking the necessary action, to ask for Grace, to have faith in our purpose, and then we shall move through and beyond the challenges of our present circumstances. |

What We Are, It Is
(Continuation...)
That which is present in deep sleep, or rather that which is deep sleep, remains as the background and substance of the dreaming and waking states.
As soon as this is seen clearly to be the fact of our experience, the veiling power of mind and senses is transformed into a revealing power.
The mind and senses are double agents. They work for both ignorance and understanding.
This realisation is the moment the prodigal son turns around and proceeds back towards the father on exactly the same path that he originally took on his flight away from him.

Chapter 83
The True Guru
(Continuation...)
Q: After you die, will you come again? If I live long enough, will I meet again?
M: To you the body is real, to me there is none. I, as you see me, exist in your imagination only. Surely, you will see me again, if and when you need me. It does not affect me, as the Sun is not affected by sunrises and sunsets. Because it is not affected, it is certain to be there when needed.
You are bent on knowledge, I am not. I do not have that sense of insecurity that makes you crave to know. I am curious, like a child is curious. But there is no anxiety to make me seek refuge in knowledge. Therefore, I am not concerned whether I shall be reborn, or how long will the world last. These are questions born of fear.
