Changes to Licensing Requirements in Queensland
Due to the harmonisation of health and safety legislation across the country some occupational licences currently mandatory in Queensland will no longer be required. Although after 1 January 2012 workers will no longer need to hold a licence they are still required to demonstrate that they are competent to operate the classes of earthmoving and particular crane effected by the change.
Health and safety terminology is often confusing with the use of multiple terms to mean the same thing and acronyms it can seem like it is a different language all together. To help clarify some of these terms Stack Masula has developed a guide to common words used.
