One Maryland, One Book:
Bestselling Author at Hagerstown High

picture of author steven galloway Don't miss the appearance by bestselling author Steven Galloway next week at North Hagerstown High School.

Galloway's book The Cellist of Sarajevo is this year's selection for One Maryland, One Book, and he will be speaking on Oct. 3 at 10:00 at North High.  The public is very welcome to attend.

Inspired by the actions of a real cellist during the siege of Sarajevo, the novel is a haunting and beautiful tribute to what one can endure in the face of wartime destruction and death.  More details about Steven Galloway's visit are here.  Click here to find the book in our catalog.

There are also book discussions of The Cellist of Sarajevo coming up at many of our branches.  See this webpage for details.
