Service Enhancement Grants Roundup

For the past several years WMRL has provided a set of grants to the three public library systems across the region.  These help to cover the costs for library marketing, public relations staff, training/staff development, and service enhancement.  What is "service enhancement?"  The Service Enhancement Grants address special projects and priority needs that aren't able to be paid for out of a library system's normal operating budget.  Each library system completes a grant application at the beginning of the new fiscal year that lays out the projects that it will accomplish by the end of the following June.

Allegany County Library System Logo In August, as part of the Message of the Month strategy for communication to and within their community, Allegany County Library System (ACLS) focused on getting the word out that the library is not just a building: it is reachable and reaches out in a wide variety of ways.
