  • save your searches
  • get library notices by text message
  • apply for a card or update your contact info online
  • find what we have much more easily
For help with Polaris, see our user guides: basics and extras.

Ancestry Library Edition

illustration of historic documents available through ancestry library editionThe gold standard in genealogy research, Ancestry Library Edition can lead you to detailed information on your forebears, both here in the U.S. and overseas.  It goes well beyond the information available on free websites, to include billions of records in census data, births and deaths, directories, photos, and more.  The intuitive user interface allows you to enter however much information you have about a person, and can even accommodate alternate spellings of names.

As the name implies, Ancestry Library Edition is only available through your library - and in fact, it can only be used on computers in the library.  So come on down to one of our branches and try it out!
