From Until the Day Dawns:
Recently, I was having a conversation with someone about preaching style. This was an interesting conversation, mainly for two reasons: I have been developing my own “style” for all of 5 months, and the person I was talking with attends church roughly twice a year (which does not discount his view on the matter, but does radically affect the basis of his opinion). However, between the two of us, a conclusion was reached (even though no one asked). [Click here to read more.]

Outreach Ministries

Summer Clothing Drive: May 20
The Family Service Center is renovating its clothing area and will re-open the clothing ministry the first week of June. Meanwhile, we need help in getting our clothing rooms restocked. We are holding a summer clothing drive this Sunday, May 20. Ernie (our new truck) will be parked close to the west entrance of the church that morning, and we are asking each family to bring one grocery sack of clothing to help us restock our clothing rooms. We need casual, every-day type summer clothing and shoes – no fall or winter clothing please, and nothing dressy..

Cool Ties for Soldiers
You are invited to join Candy Kuykendall on the third Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, to make “cool ties” for men and women in the armed forces. No sewing skills are required. For more information, contact Candy at 674-0904.
