TIME CAPSULE AND PLAZA DEDICATION

The Torrance Centennial Committee is excited to announce an exclusive opportunity to be part of the past, present, and future of the City of Torrance. To commemorate the first 100 years of our great city, a new Centennial Plaza will be dedicated along with the burial of a time capsule. The Plaza will be constructed with financial support from our community. You can take part in this exclusive opportunity by purchasing a Commemorative Centennial Brick. BUS TRANSPORTATION TO THE PLAZA AND PARADE

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2012 | 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM

VARIOUS LOCATIONS

 

Bus shuttles will operate throughout the day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

There are 4 bus stops to drop you off and pick up locations are at:

  • First stop is for parade participants and volunteers only at Post Avenue and Arlington Avenue
  • Engracia Avenue and Cravens Avenue
  • Torrance Blvd and Sartori Avenue
  • Cabrillo Avenue and Sartori Avenue. 

 

Shuttle Service will also run continuously 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from the following locations:

  • Torrance High School Parking Lot (2335 Plaza Del Amo lot located across from the TUSD Administrative Office)
  • Charles Wilson Park, 2200 Crenshaw Blvd. 

Shuttle will drop off at the following Spectator Viewing areas:

  • Corner of Post Avenue & Arlington Avenue
  • Corner of Engracia Avenue & Cravens Avenue
  • Torrance Blvd. & Sartori Avenue
  • Cabrillo Avenue & Marcelina Avenue

After the parade there will be an additional pick up only bus stop at Arlington and El Prado

 

You will need to walk a short block to view the Centennial Parade that will start promptly at noon. For more information Click Here
