DEL AMO BOULEVARD EXTENSION NOW OPEN!

Yesterday was the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Del Amo Boulevard Extension. The new four lane divided roadway provides an additional east-west route throughout Torrance. Located in a central portion of Torrance, the segment exists between Crenshaw Blvd. and Maple Ave. Construction also included widening the existing segment of Del Amo Blvd. between Maple Ave. and Prairie Ave., a new grade separation, new traffic signals, drainage improvements, landscaping, and utility relocation.

At El Retiro Park, bring your own lawn chair, blankets, popcorn, hot chocolate, family, and friends to enjoy a movie about a panda with competition dreams shown under the stars! Show begins at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.) but come early to get a good spot on the lawn, enjoy a picnic, and take advantage of the park on a warm summer night. Part of the Library's Dream Big READ! Monday - Saturday: 8 am to 4 pm
Sundays: 12:30 - 4 pm
Katy Geissert Main Library| 3301 Torrance Blvd.
Monday -Thursday: 10 am - 9 pm
Fridays: 10 am - 6 pm
Saturdays: 10 am - 5:30 pm
The library cooling center is closed on Sundays.
