AFTER SCHOOL CLUB RESIDENT WALK-IN REGISTRATION STARTS

The After School Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day, as this is not a tutorial based program. This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per 10 youth at Elementary School and one staff member per 13 youth at Middle Schools. Read more ...

It's less than a week away until drivers will have access to the Del Amo Blvd. Extension. Located in a central portion of Torrance, the segment exists between Crenshaw Blvd. and Maple Ave. Beginning Wednesday, August 22 the new 4 lane divided roadway will provide an additional east-west route throughout Torrance. Construction also included widening the existing segment of Del Amo Blvd. between Maple Ave. and Prairie Ave., a new grade separation, new traffic signals, drainage improvements and utility relocation. Monday - Saturday: 8 am to 4 pm
Sundays: 12:30 - 4 pm
Katy Geissert Main Library| 3301 Torrance Blvd.
Monday -Thursday: 10 am - 9 pm
Fridays: 10 am - 6 pm
Saturdays: 10 am - 5:30 pm
The library cooling center is closed on Sundays.
