The City of Torrance invites you to participate in the Downtown Torrance Centennial Parade! This community event is an exciting way to celebrate the past, present, and future of Torrance, California. Find out more!

 WHERE'S JARED? 

Enter your chance to win a prize by guessing Where's Jared?  Each Monday, by 9 a.m. a new photo will be posted here. All you will need to do is figure out where the picture was taken, and then send an email to  Centennial@TorranceCA.Gov with your best guess.  We will accept responses until Sunday, at 5 p.m.  Winner(s) will be notified via email on Monday at noon.  For contest rules,  click here. Prizes include your choice of either a Centennial T-Shirt, a Women's Visor, or (2) Tote Bags. AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

RESIDENT FAX-IN AND MAIL-IN REGISTRATION

JULY 17 - 30, 2012

The After School Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program. This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools. PLEASE NOTE: The After School Club Program is designed for Torrance Residents. Torrance residents will have the first opportunity to register for the program. After the residents' registration, Non-Torrance residents will have an opportunity to register for any remaining spaces.   

CAMP EINSTEIN FOR KIDS
TUESDAY, JULY 17, 2012 | 1-3 PM
MADRONA MARSH NATURE CENTER & PRESERVE

This class is especially designed for kids interested in science. Most students' finish the class with a clear understanding of Einstein's General and Special Theory of Relativity as well as some of the history that lead to these important theories. Bartlett Center | 1318 Cravens Ave.

Monday - Saturday: 8 am to 4 pm

Sundays: 12:30 - 4 pm 

 

Katy Geissert Main Library| 3301 Torrance Blvd.

Monday -Thursday: 10 am - 9 pm

Fridays: 10 am - 6 pm

Saturdays: 10 am - 5:30 pm 

The library cooling center is closed on Sundays.
