A CENTENNIAL EVENT

The City of Torrance will host a piano on the plaza of the Cultural Arts Center as part of the broad-scale public art installation "Play Me, I'm Yours" by artist Luke Jerram from Thursday, April 12 through Thursday, May 3, 2012. "Play Me, I'm Yours" is being presented in 30 locations around Los Angeles County by the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) to culminate their season-long celebration of Music Director / Pianist Jeffrey Kahane's 15th anniversary.  Read more . . .

CURRENT AND FUTURE IMPACT OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE 

AB 109 REALIGNMENT PLAN

 

On Tuesday, April 10th at 5:30p.m., the City Council hosted a public workshop in Council Chambers on the current and future impact of the criminal justice realignment plan on the City of Torrance. The Torrance Police Department and Orange County Sheriffs Department presented to council the impact of Assembly Bill 109 (AB109). If you missed it, you can watch the workshop here.
