John's pick of the week!

I'm John Jones, Director of the Community Services Department.  This is our nineteenth edition of the Torrance eNEWSLETTER, another way to find out what's happening in the great City of Torrance.  Each week I'll give you my picks of what you and your family can do in Torrance.

 

Come and join Cindy Reid every Friday morning at the Madrona Marsh Nature Center for an educational, fun program called "Friday Fun."  This is a hands-on program for preschoolers ages 3-6 years - 20 kids maximum - and their parents or guardians.  Read more...

1.  Musical Mornings

Bring the little ones, ages one through five, for a morning of songs and fun at the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library, featuring some of the best known children's musicians of the area.  Free, and generously sponsored by the Friends of the Torrance Library.  No reigstration is required, but the room can get crowded so please arrive on time.  For more information please call the Youth Services Department at 310-618-5964.  Read more...

2.  The Torrettes Winter Show

3.  Family Storytime

Family storytime is open to all ages, so drop in at the Walteria Library for stories, songs and activities with the Librarian!  This program is free and no registration is required, however space is limited so please arrive on time.  Storytimes are designed for individual families and cannot accommodate organized groups or group daycare providers.  For more information, please call 310-375-8418.

4.  Babytime at the Library

5.  Wacky Wednesdays: Chinese New Year Celebration
