St. Francis of Assisi School Newsletter
Home of the Wolves
November 16, 2011
|
Dear St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School families,
My time at St. Francis has been great but last week was an especially good week. Here's why. First, I had the privilege of formally visiting seven classrooms. In addition to great planning and lesion delivery I saw great passion for teaching. Included in the lessons were elements of creative and critical thinking, role-playing and demonstrations, individual and group activities, inquiry based questions and hands on direct experience. Cookie Dough Delivery
|
Thursday, December 1, 2011, our cookie dough will be delivered and be ready for pick up by 1:30. December 1 will also be a rainy day pick up to facilitate all parents picking up cookie dough from the St. Clare Center that afternoon. Day care families who purchased cookie dough will have their orders transferred to the day care room for pick up that afternoon.
We thank you for your support of our cookie dough fundraiser and hope your home is soon filled with the aroma of freshly baked cookies.

Caught Being Good
|
For the fourth year at St. Francis, we are recognizing good student behavior through the Caught Being Good program. Modeling Christ-like behavior, helping another student or simply being good gives students the opportunity to receive a Caught Being Good ticket. Teachers and administration may "catch" students being good, and students submit their tickets to be drawn at random and recognized with a prize and their names over the announcements.
Congratulations to last week's winners:

Lost and Found
|
The holidays are upon us and our lost and found bucket is overflowing. If you're missing a jacket, sweatshirt, lunchbox or any other item, be sure to stop by the Lost and Found bin outside the Extended Care classroom and have a quick look before we break for Thanksgiving. Lots of lost items have been rescued and are awaiting a safe return to their owner.
