Crossroad Health Center received the "Non-Profit Organization of the Year" Star Award at the Over-the-Rhine Chamber's Annual Meeting and Star Awards Luncheon on March 20, 2012. The Annual Star Awards recognizes organizations and individuals who have contributed to the revitalization of Over-the-Rhine, and for their outstanding accomplishments and dedication to the Over-the-Rhine Community.

Bobby Maly, OTR Chamber Vice Chairman, said this of Crossroad: "For 20 years, Crossroad Health Center has been an essential resource for the residents of Over-the-Rhine and has helped thousands of patients make profound and lasting changes in their lives. Crossroad's leaders have long recognized that revitalization and stabilization of Over-the-Rhine is vital to the health and well being of Cincinnati's inner city. Serving as an anchor for the neighborhood, Crossroad's long standing commitment and dedication to the people of OTR has been a key component of the stabilization process. Today, as Crossroad celebrates its 20th anniversary in Over-the-Rhine, they serve more than 6,500 patients. With a staff of more than 40 employees, Crossroad is one of the larger employers in Over-the-Rhine. Now, more than ever, with the revitalization of Over-the-Rhine, Crossroad's mission, 'to provide accessible, comprehensive healthcare in partnership with patients and the community, leading to healthy, changed lives,' can only be more important to the health and stability of this great neighborhood." |
