President's Message
| | |
Greetings!
The long awaited Spring season is finally upon us. Just as the neighborhood is becoming more active with this change over from winter, so is your HOA Board. Architectural review requests have increased, the landscape contract for the neighborhood is out for bid, summertime events at the pool are being scheduled, and the new tennis courts are on the verge of being reopened.
The progress at the common area project is impressive. As mentioned by Jeff Smith in his update article this month, the project is on schedule and under budget. The fact that we have not received any significant snow storms has allowed the contractor to catch up to the original schedule. As you already know, several of your neighbors have spent a significant amount of time working on this project, but none of these individuals, have been more dedicated to this project than Jeff Smith. I thank him for his efforts and commitment. You should too the next time you see him. And don't forget the efforts of your metropolitan board. I would like to especially thank those neighbors whose homes border the project. Your lives have been most affected. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Website and Online Forms - Please Register
Chip has asked that I remind each and every one of you to visit www.heritagegreens.org and register yourself as a user. Certain aspects of our re-tooled website can only be accessed by members. One such area is the architectural review request forms. While you can still submit a hard copy of your request to ACCU, the simpler method is to complete the "fillable" form online and submit it electronically. Keep in mind this is a very busy time of the year for the three architectural control members of the HOA Board. Joe, Todd and John are dedicated to processing the applications as quickly as possible. Please be patient with them and allow yourself at least a couple of weeks to have your project approved before your painting, landscaping or roofing projects commence.
Newsletter Changes
The first electronic newsletter is here. You already know that if it came in your email. If not, it's because you have not registered to receive it. Do so by visiting the website and registering. If you would like to add another email to the newsletter distribution, email it to news@heritagegreens.org. This will be the last month when the newsletter is mailed in hard copy to all homeowners.
Classifieds
Also, online classifieds can now be placed on the website in the Neighborhood Information section. Once you log in you will see easy to follow directions to place a classified ad. If you had a classified ad running in the printed newsletter, please take a moment and post it in our new online classifieds section. Classified ads are free for homeowners.
Use of the New Community Room
Your board is hard at work drafting guidelines for the use and rental of the community room at the pool. HOA sponsored events will have access to the room. The goal is to make the facility available for rent to members of the 'hood as well. We are looking at multiple issues including hours of use, rental and deposit fees, rental and cleaning procedures, available days of the week for rental, black out dates, and all those little issues. There will likely be some basic guidelines along with a detailed rental agreement. We have drafts in place which will be finalized at the next HOA Board meeting in April. There has already been great interest in using/renting the facilities. We apologize for the delay in making the place available for scheduling. I assure you, we are working on it.
Contractor Signs
Your neighbors would like to remind you that contractor signs placed in your front yard should not remain for more than a couple of days. Please promptly remove them. Especially those "Lawn Aeration" signs! Considering how many aeration signs are placed throughout the state of Colorado; we all get it! Thanks!
