TRACK AND FIELD
Last week our 7th and 8th graders traveled to the Westside Waldorf School in Santa Monica to compete against all the Southern California Waldorf Schools in the annual Track & Field Event. They competed in a variety of running events (short distance, long distance, relays and hurdles), high jump, discus and shot-put. Our student athletes showed great enthusiasm and outstanding citizenship on a VERY HOT day. They also brought home a large number of medals
for their hard work.
Congratulations to you all!!!!

12TH GRADE PROJECTS
Thursday, March 29
6:00 - 8:00 PM
As part of a year-long project, each of the 12th Grade students generated and have been living with "a question." On March 29, they will share with us the experience and process of delving into their question in a 5-minute presentation.
Following the presentations, the community will engage interactively with the students regarding their experience in a fair-like atmosphere. You are invited and encouraged to come share in this moment with them, as the interactive component actually depends on you. This is open to students grade 7 and up and adults.
No younger children, please.

7TH GRADE PLAY TRAVELS TO
SAN DIEGO!
On March 2, our 7th graders took their Eurythmy Play "Maiden Lene of Sondervand" on the road. They were invited to the Waldorf School of San Diego to present it to their entire student body. Additional audience members were students from the Sanderling Waldorf School, who have never seen Eurythmy performed on stage because their Eurythmy program ends at 4th
grade. The story is based on a fairy tale with more characters than students, so most students were involved in multiple costume changes, which was a bit tricky in a new environment with no official "back stage." Our traveling troop enjoyed themselves and was even treated to lunch by the Waldorf School of San Diego's 7th grade. On March 9, the students from both schools found great fun in seeing each other again so soon at the Track & Field meet hosted by the Westside Waldorf School.

11TH GRADE MONOLOGUES
It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that we encourage you to attend
the 11th grade monologues, "The Blue Banana." These monologues are the original and creative work of the 11th grade students and will be performed by them on Saturday, March 24 at 7pm at the WSOC Eurythmy Hall. The high school students are selling the tickets for $8 pre-sale. You may also purchase tickets at the door for $10. Please note that we are recommending the performance for grade 7 and up. Some of the material is not appropriate for younger children. However, we would like to encourage the parents of younger children to attend, as it is a window into what is ahead as part of the full curriculum at WSOC. Attached is a flyer for the event. Please post this at work or other public venue. Thank you for your support!
