OUR HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES

Our condolences to Nancy Grimes and the Bergey family (Miss Catherine's class) for the loss of Nancy's mother, also Grandmother to Elea Bergey and Great Grandma to Gavin Bergey.  Nancy's mother passed away peacefully earlier this week.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Coffee Chat

The Board of Trustees is offering several "Coffee Chats" in the coming weeks in hopes of checking-in with our families.  An email was sent on Jan. 17 explaining the chats in greater detail.  If you have questions or anything to share about the TA program or any other matter regarding the school, we encourage you to come by and have a chat with members of the Board.

PARENT AND CHILD DIRECTOR

OPENING

2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR

This is a part-time salaried position leading 6 Parent & Child sessions weekly, working with the Early Childhood department, and carrying the Parent & Child program. Waldorf teacher training is required as is experience with young children. If interested please stop by the front office to pick up a job application package.

DEADLINE: Monday, February 27, 2012

THE COMPANY OF ANGELS

Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching - PLEASE do come in and see our array of prepackaged cards for young ones to exchange with their classmates as well as lovely thoughts for your sweetie! From Tesoros we have brought in beautiful woven bracelets that you will fall in love with and lucky piggy banks to carry off with their own small bag.

NEW ON THE SHELVES - A shipment from one of our favorite vendors, eeboo, has arrived as well as new cards and journals from Compendium and newly released games and toys from Channel Craft.

Amazon and Etsy are GIANTS I cannot compete with. We are dependent upon the support of our community. We all pay more for organic food....can we not pay just a little bit more for books, products, etc. to keep your store supported? Any questions...please come in and talk to me, Nona.

We are looking for a conference table for our backroom- trying to make a cozy niche for our craft group, parents to get away and studying and for our shows.

Please talk with Nona if you know of a connection to such a beast!

Blessings - Nona and Rachel

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL

On Monday, January 30 our middle school boys basketball team played their first game against Westerly School in Long Beach.  Our boys played very well and came away with a 22-20 victory.  The team defense was great, some highlights were steals by Malachi Valenzuela-Mier and Ryan Camastral.  Strong solid rebounding by Dylan Tabone and Gabriel Gamboa.  Our offense was lead on scoring by Toby Bush with 8 points.  Good work boys, keep it up!
