Bank Transfer Day - November 5th, 2011

In an event titled "Bank Transfer Day", thousands are signing up to leave large banks in favor of credit unions on or before Saturday, November 5th, 2011, over what some call unethical practices.

Coastline Federal Credit Union is a full-service, not-for-profit financial cooperative. We provide personal banking services but, unlike a bank, we're owned by our account holders - members like you! 2011 Christmas Club Funds Were Disbursed On November 1st

Christmas Club funds were transferred to savings or checking, depending on member option on November 1st. Members who requested a check to be mailed to them should receive their check in five to seven business days from November 1st.

Credit Unions Make Headlines

As more consumers become disenchanted with banks, reporters are discovering what credit union members have known all along. Whether big or small, at a credit union:

* Elected volunteer (not paid) board members have a lifetime of involvement in diverse industries and their community. They guide professional management in serving all members' best interests-there are no stockholders.

* Because there's no motive to make money at the expense of consumers to pay stockholders, the financial goal is to serve members and to keep the credit union strong.

* The not-for-profit operation means any earnings go into reserves for safety or into providing services at fair prices-lower-cost loans, better-than-average savings yields, and rational fees.

Coastline is Seeking Nominations for the 2012 Board of Directors

At the Annual Meeting in February, the Nominating Committee will present a slate of nominees to fill all Board of Director vacancies for the term beginning 2012.

What are the Eligibility Requirements to be Nominated?

· Must be a Coastline member in good standing.

· Must be willing to serve the entire term.

· Incumbents can be re-nominated.

· Can nominate yourself or someone you think would be a worthy addition to the Board of Director's leadership team.

Nomination Procedure

To nominate oneself or another Coastline member:

1) Contact one of the Nominating Committee Members below any time from now until November 15, 2011 to let them know you are interested or answer any questions you may have.

2) Request a Nomination Petition Form from Coastline's President/CEO Wayne Harubin by calling (904) 346-1700, ext 204.

3) The Nomination Petition Form must have a minimum of 160 qualified members' signatures.

4) Turn in the Nomination Petition Form to a Nominating Committee member any time between November 15, 2011 - January 3, 2012

5) Nominations will not be accepted from the floor at the Annual Meeting in February 2012.
