Friends House 60 Lowther Avenue Toronto (2 blocks north from the Bedford exit of the St George Subway Stn.) Healing Vibrations of Soundwork for Self-Care: Breathing and Sounding into a Place of Softness Those who hold deep space for others moving through trauma and illness often do not take the time to care for themselves. Following an orientation of breath, voice and world instruments, Voice3 will introduce the various aspects of soundwork and how it impacts on the human psyche, soul, spirit and body. Attendees will have an opportunity to experiment with some of the simple, hand-held instruments offered as well as giving and receiving sound for the nurturing and care of self and others. This interactive and engaging evening will be an opportunity to drink in a rich sound experience and consider how to incorporate sound for self -grounding and renewal.
Voice3 is an improvisational trio whose mission is to perform, educate and offer up healing vocal remedies while blending the art of ritual, sound medicine and play.
