A&D Medical Captures International Interest at the Continua Health Summit in Belfast, N. Ireland

A&D Medical products were showcased in several new mobile solutions at the European Connected Health Campus Exhibition and the Continua Health Alliance Summer Summit, both in Belfast, Northern Ireland last week. Focusing on applications of telehealth technologies for disease management and prevention, the ECH Exhibition housed a multitude of monitoring solutions incorporating A&D Medical devices.

The showcase included three separate applications running on the HTC Nexus One mobile phone with Android operating system 2.1. These new mobile solutions from A&D Medical assist Continua in expanding the reach of standards-based connected health solutions, spurring innovation and removing barriers to global implementation and adoption.

A&D Medical previously announced the development and demonstration of its own branded Android application for blood pressure and weight monitoring at the American Telemedicine Association meeting last month.  New applications put forth by Lamprey Networks, Inc. and Andago expand on Android connectivity options with A&D Medical devices. Lamprey Networks in particular demonstrated a software stack and application incorporating Continua architecture to enable connectivity with Continua-certified devices and the Nexus One phone.
