A&D Medical continues to innovate and introduce new
telemedicine technologies to the marketplace this week with the launch of its new telemedicine blood pressure monitor for extra large arms. This automatic
upper arm blood pressure monitor, model name UA-789PC, enables simple and
convenient blood pressure home monitoring with wired data output.
Similar to A&D Medical's telemedicine mainstay, the
UA-767PC, the UA-789PC features an RS-232 data port for serial or USB
connectivity, but adds new irregular heartbeat detection flags and error
reporting in its data output. Irregular heartbeat detection provides blood
pressure and pulse measurements even when an irregular heartbeat occurs and
includes a flag in the output data stream. Current systems that are compatible
with the UA-767PC model will find themselves already compatible with the
UA-789PC and able to provide new support for patients with larger arm
circumferences.

The recent explosion in obesity rates in the US and most of the world has
presented serious problems for medical communities. While many obese patients

Medical UA-789PC provides an extra large arm circumference range of 16.5"-23.6"
(42cm-60cm) while maintaining A&D Medical's signature one-touch measurement
simplicity.
With an extra large display, large buttons for easy
operation and an AC power adapter, this monitor offers speed, reliability and
convenience for specific needs without sacrificing accuracy. The UA-789PC
includes a high performance inflation motor, 280 measurement memory capacity,
and alarm reminders.
