 Greetings!
This is a special year for Teen Mission, USA. Not only is TM celebrating its 40th Anniversary, but the Mission Journeys outreach ministry is enjoying its 25th year of touching lives around the world.
Since 1985, over 6,500 people have gone with Mission Journeys on over 500 trips to nearly 40 nations around the globe!
To celebrate this milestone, we're having a great event this fall. It will it be a time of fellowship as well as a time to help others. Our goal is to pack and ship 50,000 meals to people in Haiti. These meals will go to the National Missionary Convention and their effort to pack 1 million meals in November! The 2010 NMC will be held November 18-21 here in Lexington, KY.  The PROGRAM
Enjoy Great Fellowship
Many past Mission Journey participants will be in attendance. Along with mission trip reunions, there will be praise, worship and inspiring speakers.
Pack Meals for HAITI
We're looking for 200 volunteers to pack 50,000 meals for people in Haiti in four 2-hour sessions on Saturday, Oct 23rd. We'll be packing specially formulated, fast-cooking, rice-based meals that provide a child with about 75% of the daily nutrients needed for a healthy diet. These meals will go to churches we work with in Port-au-Prince and a Christian school TM helped start in the village of Dufailly.
Meet MISSIONARIES
Some of our mission partners will be on hand. Come hear their great stories of what God has done and is doing in their lives! You can pray for them and even arrange a mission trip to work with them in 2011.
FOOD and LODGING provided
During the event, 3 meals will be provided for participants: Supper on Friday, Oct 22, plus Breakfast & Lunch on Saturday, Oct 23.
Overnight housing on Friday, Oct 22, will be provided at the following location:

How Can You Help?
There are 3 ways you can help with the 25th Anniversary Mission Project:
Plan 1: Bring your church group to Lexington on Oct 22-23 and help us pack meals to reach our goal of 50K meals for Haiti. We're
asking for a minimum donation of $50 for each volunteer. This
will help us cover the cost of the food, shipping costs to Haiti and for us to house and feed the volunteers. Volunteers may personally donate the funds or raise the funds through friends, family and coworkers.
Plan 2: Recruit volunteers to raise $50 each and send to us. This will help pay for meals to be packed by others and shipped to feed hungry people in Haiti in the name of the LORD!
Plan 3: Have your Church give a gift in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Mission Journeys. This is another way to help pay for meals to be packed and shipped to Haiti. |
