Book Launch in the Barn
Celebrate publication of The Little Women Letters with author Gabrielle Donnelly

Join us in The Barn to help Gabrielle Donnelly launch her new novel,

Gabrielle Donnelly
Author Gabrielle Donnelly

The Little Women Letters, on Thursday 26 May. Gabrielle, who grew up in London and now lives in Los Angeles, will be visiting the UK especially for the event.

Set in modern London, the book follows the fortunes of Jo March's descendants. When one of them finds a forgotten bundle of Jo's letters the ramifications are surprising, for all of them.

To add to the celebration, we'll be displaying a selection of old Little Women coverillustrated editions of the original Little Women - including an extremely rare first English edition.

Doors will open at 6:15 for 6:30; we'll serve light refreshments and Gabrielle will discuss writing the book and her own take on Little Women and why it remains so popular - and with a bit of prompting, she may even reveal why the beloved character Beth has no counter-part in her modern update!

Tickets for the event are free, but because space is limited reservations are a must. Stop by the shop, call us on 01323 871222, or click here to e-mail us; for more information, see our website - simply click here
