Dowager Duchess of Devonshire to Celebrate the Opening of our New Premises!
|  We are delighted to announce that Deborah Devonshire, author of the best-selling Wait for Me!, will be launching the new Much Ado on Friday, 22 October.
The Dowager Duchess of Devonshire will also be signing copies of her book during the afternoon celebration.

Much Ado Leads Independent List of Top Bookshops
| Saturday morning started with a bang for us, when we opened The Independent and found their round-up of the 50 best bookshops in the country leads off with Much Ado.
We are proud to be named among the best bookshops; we never expected to be on the list, and much less that we would be given pride of place.
Happily, independent bookshops dominate the list. We know many of our e-newsletter subscribers live too far away from Alfriston to visit us regularly, and we would like to think of our customers supporting other independent shops.

Moving Sale - Old and Antiquarian Books just �2 each
| Our High Street premises is rapidly emptying; by the time you read this most of our new books will be in cartons or already in the new space, and almost all our bookcases will have been shifted over.
But there are still lots and lots of old books that we won't be taking along. So for the weekend of 16-17 October stop in for a massive �2 sale - every second-hand book priced to go for just �2!
Plus, a selection of new titles will be on offer at bargain prices as well.
We'll plan to be open on the High Street Saturday 16 October from 10 to 5:30 and Sunday 17 October 10:30 until 5.
Because we'll have no phone, we'll only be able to accept cash or cheques.

Sorry, We're Closed
| Much Ado is all boxed up just now, and there's not much to browse through. Except for the weekend of our book sale (see above), we don't expect to be open.
