We seem to be having repeat performances year after year at our Annual Golf Outing and Crab Feast in Queenstown. The weather was absolutely perfect and the newly renovated course at Queenstown did not disappoint.

With a score of 58, fourteen under par, the winning foursome were Tim Stanley and Scott Petersen from Eyewitness Security and Lee Holt and Paul LaRochelle from Sheehy Automotive Group. Jessica Bonin from Wells Fargo Dealer Services won longest drive for the women and Charlie Wineke from Comcast Spotlight won longest drive for men.

After a day of golf, the crab feast and barbeque were a welcomed treat. The crabs, provided by JR Thomas Seafood, received rave reviews. Many said that they were the best crabs they've had at this event in years. To close the event, we gave away great door prizes and everyone left happy and with good memories.

Members are reminded of the two following federal requirements when conducting their daily business:

Continue Use of Current Form I-9 to Verify Employment Eligibility-The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) recently announced that, until further notice, employers should continue using the Form I-9 currently available on it's website. The form should continue to be used even now that the OMB control number expiration date of August 31, 2012 listed on it has passed. USCIS will provide updated information about the new version of Form I-9 when it becomes available.

Employers must complete Form I-9 for all newly-hired employees to verify their identity and authorization to work in the United States.

EEOC Report for Dealers with 100+ Employees Due Sept. 30th-The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) requires that any dealership with 100+ employees, or any employer with a total of 100 or more employees from "affiliated entities" submit the Form EEO -1 by September 30, 2012. The report must be generated from data collected during any pay period between July and September 2012 and must include all full-time and part-time employees. The forms are due no later than September 30, 2012; for further information, please visit the EEOC website.
