Bel Air Dealers Support Local Non-Profit
Continuing the tradition begun in 2008, the members of
the Bel Air New Car Dealers Association agreed to donate $20 for every unit
sold at their 2010 Labor Day Weekend sale, held September 2-6, 2010, at the
Festival at Bel Air in Harford County, to SARC, Harford County's lifeline to
victims and potential victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
"We felt that SARC, which works to eradicate
violence perpetrated against women and children right here in Harford County,
was a very appropriate recipient of support from our businesses," says
Thomas D. Walls, Owner of Plaza Ford and President of the Bel Air New Car
Dealers Association. "SARC is a local action group that doesn't get very
much notice, but which does a tremendous job in extremely difficult
circumstances."
SARC Executive Director Luisa Caiazzo-Nutter said,
"We thank the Bel Air New Car Dealers Association for its wonderful
contribution. SARC works to end domestic violence, sexual violence, and
stalking. We work to aid the victims of these actions, and to create a society
free from abuse and fear, and this donation will most certainly greatly further
our cause."
The Members of the Bel Air New Car Dealers

Hybrid Tax Credit Ending Soon!
The Federal hybrid vehicle tax credit will expire on
December 31, 2010. Dealers are reminded
to take advantage of this valuable sales incentive in the remaining months of
2010.
Customers who buy certain hybrid vehicles are eligible
to receive a tax credit of up to $3,400. The credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in income tax due.
Certain vehicles which are no longer eligible for the
tax credit include Ford, Honda, and Toyota hybrids. For a current list of all eligible hybrid
vehicles, please visit the Department of Energy's website
