MOMENTS OF MEDITATION

PROPHETIC WATCH

"And because you are touching the person of my heart tonight, I am releasing the river full circle...from the throne to the earth, from the earth to the throne. I am releasing the river that has every supply. I am releasing the river that meets every need. I'm releasing a full, full circle of my presence...of my goodness...of my glory. Oh, it's time for a full circle! Oh, to show my fullness in my people in the earth. And my people will not be without, because of their faithfulness to trust me in areas where the enemy would try to cause you to doubt. And so now understand, I have a man in the land that will demonstrate my faithfulness - that will demonstrate my goodness, because I am bringing you full circle. Full circle...full circle! A full circle of the goodness, and the glory, and the grace...so receive that now. I'm releasing it. And as you step into this river you will flow, and you will go, and I'll do more...I'll do more, because I am the God that is more than enough..."

Greetings!

Faith is an essential part of our Christian life. Without it, we cannot please God (Heb. 11:6). Without it, we cannot even receive from God! There is to be a joy in believing - a hope with anticipation at receiving the things that God's Word has promised us. It really boils down to a simple trust. Jesus illustrated faith as a grain of mustard seed; having within it the power to pluck up a sycamine tree. There is a dimension to faith that God wants to take us to, where we no longer struggle at believing. It is in that dimension we not only find the rest of God, but we discover the key to living a supernatural life.

A NEW DIMENSION

The Key to the Supernatural

"If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea, and it should obey you."

-Luke 17:6

There is a dimension of faith that God desires that we walk in where nothing is impossible. There are levels to our faith where we can step in and out of the realm of heaven - where we can accomplish on earth things that heaven wants accomplished. I believe that miracles are realities that simply need someone to go into that heavenly dimension and pull out what is needed.

When Jesus said, "If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say unto this sycamine tree, be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea, and it should obey you," he wasn't talking about great faith - he was simply talking about a single grain of faith. In other words, it is not about "how much" faith you have. It is about understanding how to activate the power that even a single grain of faith can produce. The principle of faith works the same no matter what level we work it. When we think of great faith, we automatically think of people who have accomplished great things. But it doesn't take great faith to accomplish great things. It only takes knowing how faith works to accomplish great things.

Of course, faith is expected to grow and increase. We are encouraged in the Word of God for our faith to grow and become perfect faith (2 Thess. 1:3; James 2:22). It also tells us that we are to go from faith to faith (Rom. 1:17). But the ability of faith is not limited to our level of growth. What faith can do in its fullness, it can do in its simplest element. The difference is not in how much faith we have, but in how much of an understanding of faith we have.

Faith is what brings us into a new dimension of living. It takes us beyond ourselves. It lifts us to a realm of working the works of God. We are the ones that need to grow in our understanding of faith where we can step into this new dimension. It really is not determined by how much faith we attain to!

So many times people think that "if I can just have more faith, then I can believe for more." When it really isn't that at all! That is exactly what the disciples thought when Jesus explained how even a grain of mustard see faith can pluck up a sycamine tree. He had just taught them how to forgive, even to the point of having to forgive seven times in a day. They said to him, "Lord, increase our faith!" In other words, inside their heart they could not see themselves being able to forgive at that level. They thought they needed more faith. And that is where most of us come up short when it comes to faith. When we hit a hard place or something that seemingly looks impossible, we think increasing our faith is the answer. That's not the answer. The answer is not in how much faith we have. The answer is within our understanding - in our ability to recognize what faith is able to do.

Most failures are blamed on not having enough faith! That is wrong thinking! Faith is the victory that overcometh the world! (1 John 5:4). There is no defeat in faith. It is not so much a faith failure as it is a failure on our part to know how faith works! This is why we don't see the kind of results we want to see. We keep thinking we need more faith, when in reality we just need to operate in a new dimension of faith. That new dimension is in understanding that faith works the same in every realm.

Galatians chapter five says, "Faith worketh by love" (Gal. 5:6). We already know from First Corinthians thirteen that "love never fails." If love never fails, and faith works by love, then faith can never fail. So how is it that some people have failed when it came to using their faith? It's really rather simple. They have not understood that the love of God is committed to honoring his Word, and when they waver in their faith, they are wavering because they do not have a revelation of the faithfulness of God. When we come to that place of understanding this, then we will step into a new dimension of faith, into a place where the supernatural will be a natural way of life.

PRAYER

Father, I come to you today, fully assured that you are a faithful God that keeps covenant and mercy to those that love you and keep your commandments to a thousand generations. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but your Word endures forever! And because I know this is true, I purpose in my heart to build my confidence in your faithfulness until all doubts and fear are completely removed from my life, until everything within me stands wholly assured of your steadfast love toward me! In Jesus' name, Amen.

CONFESSION

I am a believer - not a doubter! I affirm my faith today. I will not hesitate or question the integrity of God's Word. I build a resolve deep within my heart that no Word of God will fall to the ground, and that whatever it declares concerning me - I WILL see it come to pass in my life!

DEFINING MOMENTS...

I like to think of faith as the hand of my spirit, reaching out into that unseen realm and pulling toward me everything that God's Word has provided for me in this life. It is really not a hard thing. We sometimes make it hard, because there is so much of that unseen realm we know very little about. But the more we discover that it is the unseen realm that is to be our conscious reality, the easier it will be to live on the side of life where we live out of the life of God.

There is a new dimension to faith that God wants to bring us into, and that dimension is to understand, as a believer, that faith cannot fail anymore than the Word can fail. If there is any failure, it rests in us not knowing this one truth, that faith only works by love - which really means knowing our Father...knowing his faithfulness to us!
