Every person, every organization and every aspect of life goes through transition. It is hard to believe that I have been in the role of National director for over six months. On the personal front, it has been a time of transition watching the last of my children finish up high school; experiencing the death of my father-in-law in January; expecting a grandchild any week now; feeling the beginnings of the empty nest aspect as a couple; and embracing a new mission and ministry as a Christian leader in a national organization.
CCI/Canada has also experienced transition: It has transitioned from being without a national director to having a new one. As well, there has been the transition of staff, office and more. It is with that in mind that we dedicate this issue of the Equipper to "Transition." As camp staff, we can see the schedule already changing as we transition to summer ministry. There is an expectation and anticipation of a new summer of camp ministry. This time is also a time where we have just been reminded of the Cross and the difference it has made. It is a reminder of the change that has taken place, is taking place, and will take place in our hearts. We are reminded of how the Cross has transitioned us to freedom and why we do what we do.

CCI says Goodbye to Bev 
For the last number of years Bev Offner has managed the CCI/Canada office with excellence and diligence. Her servant heart and willingness to connect has been experienced by CCI members across the country. She has been the voice and face to all seeking information or help. As of April 1st, Bev has joined the MBC team in Ontario. Since June of 2009, she had been working part time with CCI and part time with MBC. The timing seemed right this spring to make the transition full time to MBC. Though she will not be working full time at CCI, she will still take an active role in the national conference on the conference committee. Thanks Bev, for your years of hard work and dedication.
