Join us for an afternoon of festivities and refreshments. TIGA is opening its doors this Sunday for you to drop in and see what's going on at Northern New Mexico's premier glass institute and studio. We've been busy since the first of the year upgrading the facility for COMMUNITY ACCESS and preparing for the exciting 2010 season of educational opportunities along with the 2010 3rd Annual Taos Art Glass Invitational.

WELDING FOR THE GLASS ARTIST
JACK HILL ILLUMINATES THE ART OF MOUNTING YOUR GLASS

Jack has rolled into Taos and boy, are we excited! Jack is one of those multi talented individuals, a true "Jack of all Trades", a "Great Pirate" as Buckminster Fuller would fondly call him, and did we mention, a master welder? Not only is Jack a welder with certifications and experience extraordinaire, this Native American man is a sculptor in his own right, can piece together machinery, restore whatever needs restoring, can tackle any building project we've thrown at him, and oh, did we mention, he's also an exceptional person to know and work with.
And so we gratefully introduce you to Jack Hill, who is now offering "The One-On-One Welding Experience" through TIGA. If you are a glass artist, Jack will assist you in learning what you need to make that support system/display stand for your glass work. If you are not a glass artist, Jack can also teach you the techniques needed to accomplish your sculptural or fabrication dreams.
