Updates from the 911 Airlift Wing
Recently, a letter from Secretary Panetta to a member of the U.S. Congress caused speculation about the status of the 911 Airlift Wing. It is true that nothing will happen to the bases for the remainder of Fiscal Year (FY) 2012, that ends on September 30, 2012. When the 2013 Fiscal Year begins, the 911 Airlift Wing will once again be in consideration of whether or not it will remain open. Therefore, the base is continuing to reach out to the community for support. Visit
www.macwpa.org to sign up for their newsletter and make a donation to the Military Affairs Coalition in support of the base. All community efforts are greatly appreciated.
