January 2012 Issue
Group for the East End Turns Forty This Year
In 1972, a group of concerned citizens came together to look out for eastern Long Island's environment. Forty years later, in 2012, Group for the East End's full-time staff of professional advocates and educators are still facing and solving the challenges of protecting and restoring nature in our special region. We will continue to address the most difficult environmental problems into the future -- as long as it takes.

Please join us in celebrating our 40th anniversary!

Riverhead Site Plan Hearings Open To Public

For months the Group has advocated in partnership with the Riverhead Neighborhood Preservation Coalition, and many other civic associations to see this constructive legislation become a reality.
