Ballot Vote on Southampton PDD Approvals This November -- Vote YES!
If you vote in Southampton Town, this election day your vote can assure that any future Planned Development District (PDD) proposal will have to be approved by a supermajority (4 of 5) of the Town Board.

That's important because PDDs are the Town's most complicated, least regulated and most controversial development proposals and their approval should require the increased level of scrutiny and Board agreement that a super majority provides.

The Group has worked for two years to improve the PDD review process and the supermajority requirement has been one of our priorities. We urge you to VOTE YES on this important PDD referendum and stay tuned for more information on our Action Alerts page as Election Day approaches.
Schools May Now Obtain Funding for Group Environmental Lessons
Due to recent school budget constraints, many schools have been unable to pay for environmental education lessons that are critical to a well-rounded curriculum.

The good news is that Group for the East End's in-class and field trip programs have been integrated into the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Exploratory Enrichment Program. Through this program, schools may eligible to be reimbursed for lessons taught by our professional environmental educators.
