Get Ready for the Wine, Beer, and Food Extravaganza! |
 The Christian Brothers' Wine, Beer, and Food Extravaganza will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009. This year's event will feature the music of Wonderbread 5 in the beer garden, as well as a raffle featuring thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
Also new for 2009 is Brother Timothy's Private Reserve Tasting which will be open to a limited number of guests prior to the general event and will offer attendees a taste of the region's most exclusive wines. The Private Reserve Tasting begins at 6 p.m.and admission is $100. The general Wine, Beer, and Food Extravaganza begins at 7 p.m. and instead of tickets will be giving wristbands to all who attend. Wristbands will be given to attendees at check-in and are $50 in advance and $65 the day of the event. For more information or to purchase tickets for this event go to www.cbhs-alumni.org. Introducing our Newest Alumni...Class of 2009! |
The Alumni Association would like to congratulate and welcome the class of 2009 as our newest alumni in the Christian Brothers community.
On Saturday, July 25th, the Alumni Association held their 2nd annual Send Off BBQ where the class of 09' gathered one last time at school with friends, faculty, and other CB alumni to say their farewells to each other before they head out to college and into the world after high school.
We wish the class of 09' all the best in their future, and may we hope to see them all back at our alumni events!

Christian Brothers Alumni Golf Tournament Tees off Once Again! |
 There certainly was no "case of the Mondays" for the CB alumni golfers who met at El Macero golf club on Monday, June 8th for the annual golf tournament hosted by the Alumni Association.
A total of 115 golfers came out for a beautiful day to play golf in support of raising money for the Alumni Fund to help with tuition assistance. This year's tournament was done in a "Whack n' Hack" format, different from the traditional scramble format used in previous years. Thanks to the volunteers, the tournament ran smoothly. After the tournament, golfers came together to enjoy a big dinner where raffle prizes were handed out.

Conference for Women of Bishop Manogue

 Bishop
Manogue Alumnae from the classes of 1968 - 1990 gathered Saturday, May
2nd at the Hilton Hotel for a special luncheon reunion hosted by the
Christian Brothers' Alumni Association. The reunion was titled, "A
Conference for Women of Bishop Manogue High School." This was the first
organized reunion hosted by the Alumni Association and will
continue to be an organized Alumni event.
Speakers
included Bishop Manogue alumnae, Cynthia Gandy '78 and Bobbi Pires '76
who gave the introduction, and Pam Napstead '68 who gave the opening
prayer. Reflections of Bishop Manogue were done by Bobbi Pires '76,
while Yvette Roy '78 spoke on women's health care awareness, and Gina
Barbato-Knepp '80 talked about student mentoring. Closing remarks were
given by Christian Brothers Alumna, Megan Maddox '03.

The purpose of the Christian Brothers High School Alumni Association is to promote the interests of Christian Brothers alumni and friends; to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship between the school, its students, alumni, and friends and to be of service in helping achieve the goals of the school.
