2010 Year-End Highlights

Thanks to a hard-working, incredible team, plus the confidence and trust of our outstanding clients, our young firm enters 2011 ready to face new challenges and continue our conservative growth.  Sticking to our business plan, we remain singularly-focused on helping community-based financial institutions.

To update you on our 2010 accomplishments, and to set the stage for 2011, we offer the following year-end highlights:

  • We are set to end 2010, just as we ended 2009, as our second profitable year-end.
  • Our client base continued to grow at a conservative yet steady rate...serving clients in Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia, Texas, and Oklahoma.  In 2011, we plan to expand our geographic market to selected clients in Kentucky, Kansas, Louisiana, and Alabama.
  • In addition to continuing our annual events, Bank Tech University and Bank Tech Summit (in conjunction with our friends at the Barret School of Banking), we had speaking engagements with organizations  in Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Virginia, Indiana, Louisiana, and Iowa.
  • We developed two new services:  (1) an Enterprise Risk Assessment which helps bankers better manage risk across 13 major banking areas;  and (2)  Security Awareness for Bankers, a customized session to help bankers better educate their employees regarding information security issues.   In addition to a customized CD, Security Awareness for Bankers can now be delivered on an Apple iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, as part of our premium package.
  • As we begin a new year, look for the early January release of our annual Top Ten Trends Impacting Bank Technology. This marks our seventh year contributing to the publication, Bankers as Buyers.
  • Jimmy Sawyers entered his 11th year on the faculty of the Barret School of Banking and his 8th year on the faculty of The Southeastern School of Banking.
  • Perhaps most importantly, we will end 2010 as a debt-free firm, an important fiscal goal from our business plan and one we are proud to accomplish in our 20th month in business.

We are excited about 2011 and we are grateful for our many friends in the industry without whom we would not be enjoying so much early success.

From the Sawyers & Jacobs team, we wish you a very Happy New Year filled with peace and prosperity.

Life Chart 3000

I have a friend who jokes that he'd be set for life if he can just figure out a way to make a decent living playing Angry Birds on his iPhone and watching sports on TV.  What a dreamer!

No matter your net worth, gender, race, or religion, we all have 24 hours each day.  How we spend those 24 hours can have a huge impact on one's life, short-term and long-term.

As you make your New Year's resolutions, let us help you budget your time by offering our Life Chart 3000 for your personal use, free of charge.  Take time to calculate and chart your life by the hour over an average day, week, month, and year.  It's very revealing.  You'll find that buying a good mattress and office chair really is good advice.

Click here and we'll send you our Life Chart 3000 at no charge.  We hope it helps you achieve the work-life balance you desire in 2011and beyond.
