Vendor News
Pastabilities is bringing homemade Chimichurri sauce this week. Just in time for your Fathers' Day BBQ!
Janet's Baked Goods is bringing the first of the season - Fresh Blueberry Muffins made with local Blueberries from her market neighbors, Conklin Farms! She'll also have an assortment of fresh baked breads - Yes, there will be Almond & Almond Apple Croissants! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's - enjoy your special day!
Walnut Grove Farms will be at the market this weekend; stock up on your favorite grass-fed beef cuts!
Orchards of Concklin will have fresh blueberries and sweet cherries for your edification this Saturday. The strawberries still are prime. And don't forget a pie for Fathers Day!
From Bialas Farms ~ The time is right for eating light! Salad greens abound on our tables this week - 6 different kinds of lettuce plus arugula, spinach and Asian greens. You'll find the perfect blend of greens, toss in some radishes, carrots, garlic scapes, and drizzle with this fabulously easy creamy dressing. Use a variety of fresh herbs (you DID make up a planter for your kitchen garden, didn't you?) to switch up the flavors of the dressing and complement your main meal.
We'll have some baby broccoli rabe, bok choy, fresh dill and cilantro, and... pause for effect... CARROTS! They're small, but they're local and DELICIOUS! Our potted herbs are selling quickly, so get yours this weekend. Perhaps create a planter for Chef Dad? Happy Father's Day!
Red Barn Farm ~ Along with our eggs and honey, we will be bringing a ton of garlic scapes, so garlic lovers come ready! Scapes are more peppery and have a milder garlic flavor. They can be stored whole or chopped in the freezer and can last up to a year. Throw them on your favorite pasta dish or sautee them in a little olive oil with salt and pepper and eat them right up. Get them before they're gone!
Where's the Knife Man? Edge of Knife will be at the market on the following dates: 7/21, 8/11 and 10/6. We'll remind you of that too!
Don't forget our other great vendors: B&B Jams, Conturso's Market,Fontanarosa's, Hudson Valley Pantry, The Joi of Pickles, Moon Doggie Coffee, R&L Greenhouses, Snoep Winkel Farm and Stefan & Sons.

1. Whisk together the eggs, oil, and buttermilk.
