Greetings!
The turn of a New Year is always a time for reflection, which leads to goal setting and motivation as we strive to make the coming year the best yet. We build on the positive lessons of the year before and vow to not repeat or dwell on the negatives. In a sense, the turn of a New Year is like a Reset button. We have everything before us. Where do you plan to take your 2010? How will you know unless you take time to design your course or map it out? Take some time this month to set your course in 2010. Happy New Year - may you make the best of your new start. |

| Affirmations |
What is an affirmation? It is a forward projection of your goals. It is who you want to be TODAY and in the future! It is a confirmation and declaration of your vows. Writing affirmations can be an encouraging way to look at your future. Who are you now? Who can you become? We think about our goals regularly; we occasionally write them down and reflect on them. How purposeful are you with your goal writing? The following few steps can help you structure and your achieve your goals.
- Write your goals in the present tense. "I am improving my health daily."
- Visualize your goals. Take time to imagine what that feels like, looks like.
- Practice your goals like the saying, "Practice Makes Perfect".
You won't move towards the changes you wish to make if you don't practice them daily. But what do you practice if you don't visualize what the goal looks like and feels like. Don't be afraid to write your goals down at your office, post them on your bathroom mirror, tell them to the people around you who can help you achieve them. There is not a better time to create your affirmations then with a new year just around the corner. Who do you want to be in 2010? Start your goal writing today and practice daily to be that person! |
