Kathy KoehlerFULL SWING FOR SPRING

The Ambassadors are in full swing with their presence and participation in the many great events our Lakeville Chamber of Commerce has to offer.

In addition to meeting and greeting at events, our group of 19 ambassadors are also busy behind the scenes making courtesy phone calls to our new and existing membership.  Apparently these add up - we made over 2000 last year!

Hospitality Day at the Capitol was March 5th and the Lakeville Convention & Visitors Bureau was among the hundreds of tourism businesses present.

Discussions with legislators covered many hot topics including post-Labor Day school start, background checks for hospitality employees, electronic pull tabs in bars and restaurants, restrictive ticketing for sports events and concerts, hotel recycling refund, and the super wage for wait staff among them.

Thanks to Representative Mary Liz Holberg, Representative Pat Garofalo and Senator Dave Thompson for their time and continued support of the Hospitality Industry.
