LET'S MAKE 2012 THE BEST YEAR YET
By Karen Wentworth, 2012 Chamber President

It is an honor to serve as the 2012 Chamber President and I look forward to working with each of you during the year. It takes a dedicated membership base to run a Chamber organization, and I will be counting on your help to ensure another successful year!
During 2012, the Chamber Board will continue to build on the successes of the previous years. We have a strong financial foundation going into 2012 and are investing in our infrastructure.
With the exciting roll out of a new website as well as a data management and accounting software system, our members will better be able to market their businesses to other members and the community at large. Information will be update frequently on events, fundraisers, committee updates and Chamber members as well as additional perks such as hot deals and advertising opportunities for our members only. The website will enable the Chamber to work more efficiently and progressively with our current members. These useful tools will allow us to continue to grow new members for the Chamber and retain the wonderful members we have already.
As we continue to face economic challenges, the Chamber will continue to play an important role by being the voice for our membership. Promoting economic development issues continue to be a Chamber priority. When we work together to promote and facilitate business success, our community as whole becomes stronger.
An active Chamber is a healthy Chamber and your participation will only make the Chamber better as a whole organization. The Chamber Board of Directors challenges all members to become more involved during 2012. Consider attending networking events, luncheons, seminars, volunteering for a committee, support a sponsorship, or promote your business on the NEW Chamber website.
I look forward to working with you and serving you this year. Together we can make 2012 the best year yet for the Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sincerely, Karen Wentworth, 2012 Lakeville Chamber President Hobo Inc. / Chemquest Inc. |

Lakeville Chamber Announces New Website and Management System
The Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its new website and data management system is operating!
The Chamber has partnered with ChamberMaster and Ensemble Creative & Marketing of Lakeville to create an interactive system that offers expanded benefits and options to both Chamber members and the general public looking for information about the local business community.
After 13 years, the Chamber's old system was not sufficient for doing business any longer and the new one allows members direct access to their database thorough a password. Members have the ability to update the information in their account, as well as maneuver online to view statements, make payments, and register for events.
The Chamber's new enhanced marketing package allows members to purchase expanded listings including photos. The site offers members the ability to post job openings and offer member to member "hot deals" to individuals who log onto the site. Members can be a website sponsor and purchase banner ads for increased marketing exposure.
The website has a complete new look and has similar features to the Convention & Visitors website designed by Ensemble Creative. The new site directly interfaces with the Chamber's data management system, allowing seamless changes between the two. Staff can make timely changes that are essential in this fast paced internet society. The Chamber can better market its members, the location, and assist visitors to the site with many new options and features.
Finally, the new website and data management systems allow the Chamber to expand into social media. Be sure to check out the new website. |
