INJAZ Held its 5th General Assembly Bringing Together the 49 Members of the Board of Trustees 2010
INJAZ held its fifth annual General Assembly meeting on Tuesday May 4th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel-Amman, bringing together the 49 members of the Board of Trustees. The board of 2010-2011 consists of 20 new members, representing key local and international companies from various sectors.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors of eleven members was elected, and then the Board of Directors voted to elect Chairman, Vice Chair and Secretary of INJAZ Board. CEO of Kawar Group, Mr. Rudain Kawar, was elected as Chairman, then CEO of Nuqul Group,Mr. Salim Karadsheh, was elected as Vice Chair and Ms. Lina Hundaileh representing Arab Palestinian Investment Co as Secretary of the Board. |
INJAZ Beneficiaries during Fall 2009-2010
43,157 students from all around the Kingdom benefited from INJAZ programs during fall 2009-2010. 36,868 students graduated from various INJAZ Courses in 160 schools, 18 universities and 12 community colleges, while 6,040 students participated in the Inspirational Activities and 249 took part in the Job Placement Programs and other activities.

USAID Media Bus Tour
On March 10th, USAID Media Bus Tour visited Raghadan School for Boys and attended INJAZ Master Class session. The participants interacted with INJAZ studentsunder the supervision of INJAZ volunteer, Ms.Sireen Shaheen then USAID Media conducted an interview with INJAZ Deputy CEO for Operations, Mr. Muhannad Jarrah, on the impact of INJAZ courses and programs on the Jordanian youth. |
Annual MENA Training Workshop at Le Royal Hotel
The Annual INJAZ MENA Training Workshop was conducted for three days in Amman from March 30th -31st to April 1st at Le Royal Hotel. The training sessions tackled more than one issue of interest to the participating countries: INJAZ Jordan, INJAZ Egypt, INJAZ UAE, INJAZ Al Maghrib, INJAZ Palestine, INJAZ Lebanon and INJAZ Bahrain. As part of the Best Practices topic  , INJAZ Deputy CEO, Mr. Muhannad Jarrah, presented the Best Practice of "Parents Engagement". In addition, INJAZ staff was trained on non-traditional activities and participatory approach training methods as well as training for non-trainers. |
INJAZ Students Bloom in Cordoba, Argentina
For the second time, INAZ students participated in the International Forum of Entrepreneurs (FIE) conference which was held from April 25th to May 2nd. Ten students were nominated by INJAZ to participate in the annual conference. Afterwards, an interviewing stage was carried out to all the candidates in an open panel discussion led by the management of INJAZ. The students were evaluated upon their communication skills, team spirit, leadership skills, positive influence, and presentation of self. Shireen Abu Khashef from Al Al-Beit University and Ali Khamis from the University of Jordan were selected to attend t  he conference which took place in Cordoba, Argentine Republic by Junior Achievement. The conference included 600 students from all over the world, coming from different cultures and backgrounds all in one place to communicate and learn about each other. The conference aims to develop young people's enterprising flair, attitude and work to strengthen their values. It works also on widening the students' horizons specifically in the entrepreneurial field. |
INJAZ Link2Job City 2010
 On behalf of His Excellency the Prime Minster, Mr. Samir Rifai, His Excellency the Minister of Labour, Mr. Ibrahim Omoush, inaugurated Link2Job City 2010 which took place on April 28th and 29th 2010 from 10:00am-9:00pm at Zara Expo - Grand Hyatt Amman. Around 20,000 job seekers participated in the Job Fair where they were linked to the job market and benefited from training workshops on several work skills. Job seekers also met with HR representatives who provided one-on-one free CV assessment, consultation and mock interviews. More than 80 companies and organizations from different sectors offered their services in the Job Fair and more than 2,000 job vacancies were available for job seekers. In addition to the exhibition area, this year's Job Fair featured a specified area that was dedicated for volunteerism. Various NGOs were present to offer opportunities for volunteering and working in different sectors of society. Also a Career Wellness Area was designed to cater for the needs of job seekers as it offered entrepreneurial training, funding opportunities, English Language and personality testing center in addition to the CV writing and interviewing skills conducted by top HR consultants. The Launch of INJAZ Career Month Program
On May 4th, the Career Month Program was launched at Le Royal Amman. This year's Career Month tackled the sector of Banking and was sponsored by the Arab Bank. On that day, 200 tenth and eleventh grade students from six public and UNRWA schools participated in a series of workshops given by top professionals from the Arab Bank. The topics of the workshops focused on four main components in the banking sector: Human Resources, Consumer Banking, Operations and Service Excellence.
Career Month Ceremony Wraps Up a Fruitful Journey
INJAZ In partnership with INJAZ on January 10th, Arab Bank embraced youth in the area of Jabal Al Nasser through the first of its kind adoption as the Bank adopted four schools under INJAZ School Adoption Program- Gold Package. The crowning of this special adoption occurred during the Career Month ceremony held at Crowne Plaza Hotel on May 18th . During the ceremony, Zarqa'a Al Yamama School for Girls, Hay Al-Ameer Hassan 1 Secondary School for Girlsand Hay Al-Ameer Hassan 2 Secondary School for Girls, and Um Al Hareth School for Girls in addition to Al Emam Malek School for Boys and Al-Nuzha School for Boys conducted various presentations and sketches reflecting what they had learned during their visits to the Arab Bank.

KAFD Day Out at Dead Sea
On April 6th, INJAZ held an open day at the Holiday Inn Hotel- Dead Sea for INJAZ partner, King Abdullah II Fund for Development as an appreciation gesture for KAFD staff, who supports INJAZ in 30 universities and community colleges. Around 45 participants attended the open day which was full of team building activities. Deputy CEO for Operations, Mr. Muhannad Jarrah, welcomed everybody and thanked KAFD staff for their effort in supporting INJAZ' programs and courses at the Jordanian universities and community colleges and for facilitating the tasks of INJAZ volunteers. Challengers Team engaged KAFD and INJAZ in fun activities, Q&As and mental games.  |
Say No to Smoking
On May 16th, INJAZ volunteer, Mr. Baha' Dababneh from Jordan Ahli Bank, distributed INJAZ certificates, t-shirts for the students of Al-Shmaisani Al-Gharbi Secondary School for Girls and two emergency kits for the school in the presence of Ms. Rawan Sharabi, Development Manager at Jordan Ahli Bank. INJAZ Leadership Course project was under the motto "Say No to Smoking".

Under the Patronage of H.E. Minister of Agriculture, Aqaba community College Students March towards Safer Roads
On May 6th, as part of INJAZ Leadership Course offered to university and community college students, INJAZ students of Aqaba Community College initiated a project, "Khutwa", that aims at planting the sideways of Al Risha Area with windbreakers to stop the spread of sand and dust. This area suffers from dust borne wind that decreases the visibility and causes car accidents. The planting of the trees was done during a ceremony under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Saeed Al Masri. The ceremony was commenced by a welcoming speech from the head of Qaa' Al Saeedeen Society thanking all INJAZ students and sponsoring parties for their efforts. Then INJAZ volunteer, Ms. Maisoon Al Shareef, presented the project and its objectives. From her side, INJAZ CEO, Ms. Deema Bibi, thanked the Ministery of Agriculture for sponsoring the project and the Dean of Aqaba Community College, Mr. Mfadi Al Omyan, for his support to INJAZ program in addition to presenting INJAZ vision and mission in inspiring and preparing Jordanian youth. At the end, His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture and all the audience planted the trees on the sideways of Al Risha Area.

Jabri Visits Leadership Course Students
On March 17th, during his second visit to Jordan University for Science and Technology, Mr. Yousef Jabri met with INJAZ Leadership Course students. The participants discussed the concept of leadership with Mr. Jabri as he introduced his own experience in his line of work. The session was extremely interactive and the students inquired about the means for success in the world of business. The session was attended by KAFD Director, Mr. Abdulhafez Khalayleh . |
